  1. The top black and white photo with white deck. The black running all of the way on the side to the bow is awesome. Timeless elegance. I've had black and white boats since 1999. Nothing more beautiful clean and in my experience less sun fading.
  2. MasterCraft and the dealers are really stepping up to the plate to infill the void that the loss of CP and reduction of participation SN has this year in the promo boat programs. My hat is off to MC and their marketing team. As a tournament skier, I know many appreciate their efforts.
  3. Don't use contact herbicides,( too short term) weed cutter,(will scatter seeds) or Zebra Mussels.(???) White Amur and tilapia are good. Sonar is great to catch up, then let the fish maintain the weeds and algae. Fish will be your friends, White Amur normally don't take a hook. Tilapia devour algae.
  4. The first house is under construction at this time. The project has good bones design wise and is in a beautiful location on a road less traveled. It skies very well. Water ski properties in the south west are becoming a hot item as of late.
  5. All hail Warren, his creativity blew the wind that drove skiing and shear adventure. I didn't miss an opportunity to see his incredible films. Thank you Mr. Miller
  6. Where can I see more information?
  7. Keep the SS. You are good at restoration, and will have a collector in the MC. Not to mention this is the boat of your heart desires.
  8. Arizona, here is why: Warmer in the winter than So Cal Dry suit Dec 15 through Feb 15th, shorty to April 1st Heater top to May 1st, buck naked to end of October. Less wind in general 6th largest city in the US one hour away including international airport. Great people (my opinion, may not get full agreement on this) Favorable regulations to our sport. Public water access is good. Did I mention lots O Sun?
  9. I believe that the 120 AC vs battery has something to do with the amps a battery can provide?
  10. We are all with you, stand tough. You will beat this thing.
  11. Awesome place, just skied a fantastic tournament there a week ago. Warm and the scores were all very good buoy counts.
  12. I alway slow to 3000 to 3200 RPM's before beginning the turn around the islands. The skier is in a whip so his speed is not the same as the boat. RPM's work for me.
  13. I would be very interested to see what this would do to the cost of boats and if the weight differential is substantial. Any thoughts?
  14. I just took delivery of the Ski Doc Orbital and have used it on several occasions. It works perfectly, very unobtrusive on the pylon. Easy to change rope and line length. I have even considered just leaving it attached, but so easy to remove that is not necessary. I'm still experimenting with camera systems as I want to take advantage to my iCloud sharing capabilities. I will try the iPhone 7 selfie camera next. The front camera has a stabilization system that doesn't like waterskiing.
  15. I will try that, thank you. I would also like to somehow make my purpose purchased iPad work. Oh well?
  16. I am beginning my video slalom improvement program and am having some tech problems. I have the Wakeye app installed on my iPad Mini 4 (new) and the slo mo function does not work. Has anyone experienced this? I also loaded it on my iPhone 7 where the slo mo function does work. However the stabilization function on the camera makes the video hard to watch. Thank for any insight.
  17. I have a question about the Wakeye App. For some reason the slo Mo function is not available on my new iPad mini 4. Does has anyone experienced the same?
  18. Agree Brenda is a superstar. She walked me through the creation of a custom handle on the phone in person. Remember phones? Thank you In Tow for great customer service.
  19. My question is: Wouldn't the socks exaggerate the total volume in the liner so that when you ski with them without the socks, the liner would be too large?
  20. May have to watch the Bimini straps on the back, in the course the rope will probably interfere with them.
  21. Fire Bird is more salty than other lakes in AZ because when built the bottom was sealed with concrete, thus no leakage. When the water evaporates as pure H2O the salt and other minerals are left behind. In time, much like a salt pond, the levels of sodium increase. All boats used there have access to a fresh water flush after use. Also all skies and equipment are routinely rinsed.
  22. Acapulco is a very nice forgotten destination. Back in the Regain era the rich and star studded were frequent visitors. It is relatively easy to get there keeping in mind the Mexico City Airport is busy. Gordon is a great host, the ski site is beautiful in the coconut grove and the villa is the icing on the buoy. Go and bring your favorite stuff so you wouldn't crash at the first buoy as I did. Gordon didn't laugh which I really appreciated.
  23. Does anyone know if Randy at USGEAR has a patent on his bent/rolled aluminum handle design?
  24. Thank you. Good point SM. As a snow skier that began with leather boots and earliy adapter to hard shell, I always wondered when the solid connectivity of foot to ski would become important in water skiing. Just makes sense.
