  1. @Jody_Seal Thank you. Is that plug on the top of the motor?
  2. I have a 2016 Carbon Pro 6L PCM with a strange problem. If the skier does not drop and continues around the island, the engine shuts down when it encounters its own wake. It will start back right away by turning the ignition key. I have checked the main grounding wires and all are secure. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Thank you in advance for your help.
  3. Stay away from the deep state
  4. The blue bomb handle is, well THE BOMB!!! I got mine last week. It is worth the wait. Thank you Brenda.
  5. @rawly Spiritflo herbicide has the same active ingredient as Sonar. If you followed the table you should have positive results.
  6. Subsidy example: https://www.businessinsider.com/elon-musk-list-government-subsidies-tesla-billions-spacex-solarcity-2021-12#spacex-lands-a-289-billion-contract-with-nasa-in-april-2021-1
  7. @braindamage This is true, however my point is that all of the car manufacturers that are jumping on the EV wagon are not doing it because they expect these vehicles are a profit center for them. They are doing it because there are subsidies available form government programs to further the climate agenda, or to boost the EPA required MPG quotas. This is dangerous because it amounts to a degree of government price fixing using tax payer money.
  8. @horton Yes who can refuse the free government money. Subsidies anyone?
  9. Read "Unsettled" by Steven Kooning. It is an interesting read.
  10. Battery technology certainly needs to come a long way to avoid unintended Enviromental consequences. But remember batteries to not make energy, they store it. Coal is still used to produce 20% or more of the worlds energy supply. Look to the broader picture, fission creates all of the universe's energy. We need to focus more time on how energy is created. IMO
  11. How is the desire for electric vehicles change when the fact that 80% of the energy used to charge them comes from Fossil fuel and Nuclear?
  12. Speaking of bridal wear, why don't ski manufactures bevel the top edge of the ski where it would contact the rope. Would there be a performance issue? Just curious.
  13. @Jeffsurdej Will you tell us when the BG check has been removed as a requirement for assistant judges. I am holding off on suctioning my tournaments until this is final. Thank you in advance for any information you can supply regarding this.
  14. Pay Pal, ? My Pay Pal account was hacked and someone was making purchases all across the country. At least drop the BGC, please.
  15. What @sunperch is saying is that the problem isn't any one of the new requirements, but an aggregate of all of them. And all of the other sport spoiling rules levied in the past. AWSA or something new could be separated from USAWS, shaken off, and reinstated as the USA tournament centric org. Let's throw some tea in the harbor.
  16. S 534 makes all individuals are requirement to report child abuse, I agree whole heartily to that. It does not make it a requirement to mandate everyone take a SS course. Why can't we simply add to the wavier that one will abide by the laws of the land.
  17. I can do 4 events at our lake. Perhaps we can have a Zoom call at some point with interested parties. @jody_seal has taken lead and I am willing to assist in any way. Looking for the next step. Moving forward is a very positive action.
  18. @Jody_Seal I see the potential. We could adopt any or none of the rules we currently have with USAWS and start as a small group at first to kick it off. I'm holding back sanctioning my 4 tournaments until further notice. A chance for some open thinking, you know the kind that jumped out of the box.
  19. I'm in. We can apply the good and leave out the bad regulations. A clean slate is what we need. Thank you @Jody_seal.
  20. Normally I host 4 tournaments each year at our lake, in light of the new requirements the HOA BOD has determined that we can not place our owner in this level of liability. Therefore I will not be able to continue sanctioning events. This is a very unfortunate for many skiers that have competed and enjoyed the camaraderie that they have become accustom too. To say the least I am very disillusioned with our Governing body and will continue to promote AWSA withdrawing from USA USOC affiliation. I volunteer to help with this effort.
  21. I am still struggling with whether to sanction events in 2022 with SS liability. I would like to hear what other LOC's are thinking. As I mentioned earlier it appears that the LOC and Club will take on the responsibility and liability for enforcing SS during the event. The BOD for my lake community is very uncomfortable with this. Should we limit it to +18 years? Skip it this year in hopes that something will change? Thank you in advance for any thoughts.
  22. Disassociate the AWSA from USOC and form a new BOD for the newly separated AWAS who's first job it is to scour the documents and eliminate what doesn't work. Set up new mission statement, and funding mechanisms.
  23. It is time for the AWSA to disassociate from USAWSWS. I can see how the revenues from USOC are important to the USAWSWS, but not so much to the AWSA. When I say AWSA I generally refer to Local area tournament skiing. Our segment is small and funded by the skiers and LOC's themselves for the most part. Some of the new requirements placed upon the LOC and club s are onerous and present potential liability to the other owners of the lake properties. Why not change this to make SS an individual responsibility for each competitor. As an organizer I can not expose the millions of dollars of asset and investments that it take to build and own a private lake complex. Making the LOC and Club responsible for enforcing SS regulations does this. I now there are good intentions to this law, but it is over reach just like so many other regulations of late. What would it take to figuratively withdraw the AWSA from the USAWSWS?
