  1. The new regulations re SS say that the LOC and hosting club will be responsible to uphold SS rules. I think this places a great deal of liability on the host and the entire lake owner community. Unless I am reading the regulation wrong, I can't see placing all of the owners of the properties on our lake in this kind of jeopardy. I must either sanction my normal 4 tournament for 2022 or opt out. Can anyone shed light on the placing of SS responsibility on the LOC? Thank you
  2. I Like it @Jody_seal a petition to disassociate the AWSA would start the juices in motion. Then include the thought @ALAJr proposes. Simple as that. Worst case it falls on its face, best, it shakes up the organizational foundation. It seems that there is no reason the majority of the competitors that chose to participate on good old USA terra firma should suffer restrictions to aspire to international games.
  3. Well then ladies and gentlemen, what shall we do about this? My vote is to blow it up and start over before it all lays in ruin. Any ideas? I can be counted on to be one who will help set ups a new organization if need be.
  4. How long would you leave your hot vehicle with a ski in it. They are both made of similar molecular materials. Place human hot cold values on inanimate objects is topic for a blog only. Hot ski looser atoms cold ski tighter atoms. My water temperature is hotter than most car interiors today 99.2 F
  5. It might be a lack of AMPS. That is why so many hydraulic lift s must use a 12V battery.
  6. It was a picture perfect setting, thank you SMSR. So nice to see this lake showing off to the Swerve crowd. See you in the Fall.
  7. It seems to me that the bill says "required to promptly report" not subject to mandatory training. Is there any clarification to this? I think many reasonable good intentioned people will view this as another impingement on their civil liberties and vote with their feet. We as a group should come up with an alternative to this heavey handed top down governance in our sport. A feeling of helplessness seems to be a common thread in this conversation.
  8. Sorry SN 196. True the 5.7 L is no longer available, but Im not sure that is a full accounting of the need for bigger more expensive boats, if one is just talking about pulling a skier through the course. Now to be clear, the newer MC's are the nicest skiing tug.
  9. Maybe ask once again, did the boats need to get bigger, heavier requiring larger more expensive engines? If so why? I think most people would agree the SN 197 was a pretty darn good tug.
  10. Easy, insect loving Agronomists are good people. She is correct about water testing.
  11. When will we know if these proposed changes are excepted?
  12. @jcamp For budgetary purposes I calculated 8 to 10 boat hours per 3 round tournament day. The tournaments generally have about 32 skiers and because of the comps for various reasons in the budget I assume 25 paid skiers. My expected profit/loss is $0. I try to keep it as simple as possible.
  13. Good Job Will. Well thought out and a giant step forward. Thank you.
  14. Back on topic, I will pay $50 per boat hour used to pull my tournaments. I calculate 8 to 10 hours in a single day tournament.
  15. The take away from this conversation, in summary, is that the boat owner should be paid a per hour compensatory rate ($50/hr) for use in a tournament. I'm going to run with that Idea in my 2021 tournaments. Notice I am going to stop using the word promo.
  16. Seems she could use a little off side fin adjustment. She must of had rivets for breakfast.
  17. Just replaced one on my 2016 CP It is a Teleflex 2
  18. JAS Is this the 2021 SN? And is that the marketing department in the back?
  19. escmanaze Agree, just a tonuge in cheek remark about firing.
