Our situation may be a bit different in that we have large anchors in 20'-40' of water. We have used the same 1/2" rope for the last 15+ years. This rope never comes out of the water and is sub-buoyed for the winter. The connection from these lines to the jump is made with 25' of 3/8 poly rope as a sacrificial section that gets replaced every year. We have yet to move an anchor and have only had the jump break free once. (knock on wood)

@jjackkrash I love to hear there is a new ramp in play. That is great news. I have found most of the manufacturers are fairly amicable to providing guidance on old skis. If the company is still in business, it might be worth contacting them.

@Sebgo We moved my son from the TRA at age 10 when he was getting into 28 mph 15 off to the Vapor. He started with a Vapor graphite and when he was 11 moved to a Vapor Pro (not out of necessity, just the opportunity to get a new ski became available). He stayed on the 63.5" Vapor through last year when he was 13 (~115-120 pounds) and getting into 28 and 32 off at 34 mph. He is now on a 65 Vapor pro. Many of the kids I see at Nationals are on the D3 kids ski, Goode or Radar. It is unlikely the ski itself will make a big difference in their skiing but at a level around where your son is now it should help him progress quicker.

@Ttm2005 We moved my son from a 63" TRA to a 63.5" Vapor pro at about that level. It took a few sets to get used to the ski but really did help his performance. I have his 63.5" Vapor Pro (2020 model) for sale. If you are interested, drop me a message.

I am planning on setting up our surepath system this weekend. We have a floating dock with a large shade structure. The dock obviously moves up and down with boat waves but is otherwise very stable. Could the base antenna be mounted to the share structure on the dock or would the movement be too much to provide accurate results?

Who are you guys using for data on your rover and what price are you paying? I assume I can use WIFI on the base unit and not need a data plan?

I hope that is not true. The one fact that gives me a bit of hope is there is an ad for the Pro Star to the left of this post. I don't think MC would be spending to generate future demand if they did not intend to continue in this market.

We are currently on the waiting list to get Surepath for our site. A friend in FL has shared some information with me on that just doesn't seem quite right. I would appreciate someone setting me straight on these as they seem difficult to believe. He says: - Many people are using Surepath successfully without a base station - In some locations people are having to pay satellite access fees that can be as high as $500 Thanks

Sorry to hear that. I have had a similar situation (except it hurt to breath deeply and sometimes when lifting), it actually turned out to be a rib that was out of place. A chiropractor adjusted me and all was better a couple days later. It sounds like yours may be different, but it might be worth a trip to the chiro to rule it out. Good luck

@cacman, what type of weeds and over how large of an area? We have had great luck treating milfoil with 2-4d. You can get granular product called Navigate that is rather pricy or you can rig up an underwater spraying rig and use the liquid. We generally treat the whole perimeter of our lake once every 2 years and just do spot treatments on the off years.

I see our president is set to authorize use of E-15 (presumably instead of E-10). The owners manual for our boat states not to use fuel with an ethanol content higher than 10%. Unfortunately I live in one of those state that loves their ethanol ethanol free fuel is not available. I had been looking for a set all last year for my son. Finally broke down and ordered a set from Ron last fall and got them in January. His pricing is very reasonable especially compared to the few I saw come up for sale used. Good Luck.

I am trying to setup the new Vapor boot with a Reflex release. I have the new plate from Radar and have put the front hoop at the 10-11 setting (size 11 boot) and the rear release in the 9-11 slot. I cannot get the release to click in and the toe of the boot is barely engaging in the front hoop. Do I need a different hoop or am I interpreting these bolt locations incorrectly? First picture is of the boot and the front hoop, second is of another plate with the black screws showing where I have the release mechanism bolted.
