  1. i would vote 66" im 165 lbs and tried the 66 and 67. i found the 66 turned better with no speed loss noticable
  2. @swerveit in my head i prefer warmer slower more forgiving water. but i always seem to ski my best in 40-50 F water. not sure if its cause its the end of the alberta season and ive just progressed thoughout the season but i have PB'd (practice) the past three 3 years in oct/nov in a drysuit freezing my fingers and forehead. and im a 36 mph young guy
  3. I have been on double strada boots for 3 seasons. But I've been curious. So I have only a couple sets on a reflex front and a modified strada rear. I really like it. Somehow my offside is leaps and bounds better. Any idea why it makes such a huge difference?
  4. looking good in central Alberta. not supposed to get more than a couple degrees above freezing for the next 2 weeks even for overnight lows. looks like ill make it to Nov again this year
  5. @skibrain‌ yup it's an ongoing test for me too to see which is the best headgear.
  6. @Razorskier1‌ I get called the "ironman" of my ski buddies. But that is ridiculous. And in a good way.
  7. Seemed to work right now for me @Horton‌ that's not gonna help buying diapers with the t-shirt profit
  8. Water is 47° in Alberta. Air was about the same on Saturday and Sunday morning. But the water was glass. So it's all worth it.
  9. I think that's a big hurdle for me is I feel like 35 off(36 mph) looks so much different than 32 and I just struggle at 35. Perhaps this weekend I will slow the boat down and see what I can figure out.
  10. I've skied with Matt at the very minimum 3 days per year for the past 4 years. He was the very first coaching I ever had when he did a clinic in Calgary 4 years ago. And I haven't skied with a better coach since. Nothing against any of the other coaching I've had but Matt is just a great guy who knows his way around a boat and a ski as good as anyone in my opinion. So another resounding vote if you are in Orlando and have the chance go ski with him. You won't regret it.
  11. @horton keep talking that way and I'll be hopping on a plane out of Alberta to bako
  12. @TallSkinnyGuy‌ yup get a blacktec camaro top from @waterskigirl‌ aka Robby's ski shop. I wear it right up until it's time for the drysuit. Amazing how something so thin and comfortable can be so warm
  13. Ski til about the beginning of November when the Alberta lakes turn solid. And then start planning trips to Florida.
  14. Wow. Great shot Horton. The kid has got mad skills and vision.
  15. So I've been on a double boot from about 5 sets into my ski career. I hear lots of theories to support double or single boots. So today I tried a RTP on my Vapor. WOW. it was so squirelly. After a few passes my onside was feeling ok. But my offside I really had a tough time turning. Should my front binding be further forward with a RTP than with my double boot? I figured if I never tried it I wouldn't know if I liked it. Any input is welcome.
  16. Ski Sunset Ranch is as good as it looks. I skied there last season. And it's was awesome. The boat. The driver. The coaching. The site. Everything about it was great. I really want to ski Radar Lake. Because it looks amazing. And the history. And the other one on my bucket list is @Horton‌ 's lake. For obvious reasons. I'm going to Italy next month. Hoping to find some great sites there.
  17. Thanks guys. I kinda thought the push buttons were the only circuit breakers on the 98. They are not tripped. And when I push them in the little light comes on beside it. But nothing happens. I'm gonna try and check the wiring to the heater. And shower. But I don't have the boat til Wednesday. So I'll report back then.
  18. My heater and shower have quit working on my 98 ski nautique. I can't seem to find any fuses. Where should I start?
  19. Point of view is amazing. And boy is he smooth with mad talent.
  20. I was skiing in a tournament last year. I don't remember the line length or what pass I was on. But I was wide and early at 5. And I finished my turn a little early and went about 8" in front of number 5. Disgusted with myself I quit skiing. Didn't go to number six and got pulled back to the dock. Awhile later the driver came over to me and gave me "crap" for quitting. He said "both tower judges and boat judge have you a full 5. Why did you quit" and I have thought about this a lot since then. And I'm happy with the descion I made and would do it again.
  21. I have skied tournaments at predator bay for the past three years. I scored almost 1-1/2 passes better this year. So I vote for weeds. But I also think the new Prostars are great. And they spent 3 days "dialing" them in before the Shootout.
  22. It was pretty funny during the cheque presentation cause Will was trying to cover the ski with his cheque and chuckling at how "ugly" it was. Nothing like doing R&D mid season. Can't imagine how good he would be if he could just stay on one ski.
