  1. Spent the whole day at Presator Bay today for the Mastercraft Pro Shootout. Wow what a great day of skiing. Weather was fantastic. And Scores were big. 2.5@41 off to get into the men's final. And 5 guys at 3@41. Plus Will and Nate got a bye for being the top two seeds from round 1. Nate Will and Parsons got to the 3 person Shootout. With Will and Parsons both getting 3@41. Then Nate going off the dock last ran 41. And set a new course record at 2@43 off. Just incredible to see from the shoreline. Woman's Slalom was just about as competitive. They had both rounds on Wednesday. With Karen, April, and Whitney moving to the Shootout. Whitney going out last needed a piece of 2@39 to win. And ended up running the thing. With a score of 1@41 off. Just a treat to see. Jump Shootout was Igor, Dodd, and Freddy into the Shootout. Freddy won with a dramatic last jump of 233 feet. Dodd 2nd with 226 and Igor 3rd with 220. Big hats off to the sponsors and organizers. What a top notch event in my backyard. We had a fantastic day. Looking forward to next year already.

  3. by the audio of the video Ken Seemed to love 2, 3, 4, and 5. and ill agree with Jay. Shalom Park is awesome. my advice for the pullout/gate is keep your hips pointed slightly towards the left hand shoreline and it will help keep the line tight, and then use first and second gear on the turn-in instead of jumping right to third gear. but i am a 2 handed gate so maybe someone else has better insight for a one handed gate
  4. absolutely awesome video @brooks‌ what you and KC are doing with the vids is great for this addiction we all have
  5. Ive been to swiss before it was sold and after clint took over. its a great site, great coaching. but we also love it because 5 of us can go and rent a house right on the lake for a week very affordably. Ive also skied with Matt Rini on 3 different occasions. highly recommend his ski school too.
  6. i would suggest an 1/8 would be very noticeable on most skis
  7. @oneski‌ I am right there with you. But I'm not consistent enough at 32 yet to ditch that 22 pass. So I am keeping it around for now
  8. gotcha I am on a vapor and i know if my hips are a little back and if i try and rush my offisde it chatters
  9. be more stacked and let the ski turn
  10. Jason also has been using a reflex to start this season. I've actually noticed a lot of pros with a reflex. Any ballers made the switch? I'd love to demo one in Alberta.
  11. that is just awesome @wish i dont think there is any other sport that things like this happen quite often. and thats part of the reason we all love this sport so much
  12. Thanks for all the great ideas. I'll be measuring slope in the next couple days. See how long of a ramp I will need. Once I get it installed I'll post pics
  13. Keeping my fingers crossed. But getting my ducks in a row to ski at a new site. Muddy bottom. Anyone have good ideas for making a launch so we can back the boat in and out? Steel? Concrete? $$$ and time are my deciding factors(of course they are) Thanks in advance
  14. do they make them to fit a 98 196 with the round back?
  15. I know my vapor works best for me. But sometimes I think I should try different binding options. ie: hardshell, toe loop, currently on double stradas.
  16. im with @Chuck_Dickey‌ and @Ed_Obermeier‌ and i use the 3 piece HO gauges. they are great
  17. @jayski you name the time and you are more than welcome to come for a pull
  18. Out on the water for the second time tonight in Central Alberta. I felt like the ice was never gonna melt. Drysuit feels bulky as per usual, but get to be chasing buoys again. Who else has a late start this year? Water was about 45 F and air about the same. Water is nice and fast at least.
  19. @markchilcutt‌ i couldnt agree more about Clint. i was there in march. he had me skiing better than all of last season in 1 week. it was great
  20. good to know @jayski i will continue to not change anything and just have fun skiing
  21. @GOODESkier‌ in alberta in the fall our water temps drop so fast we go from high seventies in late august to frozen in about 7 weeks. i have yet to change my settings over that time and for some reason i just ski better the later/colder it gets. new practice PB's to end the year the past couple years(although practice doesnt really count) am I being nieve to not be adjusting my fin? But its obviously working for me
  22. you can add february march and december to that @bulldog
  23. @Fatroll‌ i just bought a PTM from performance for my 98 196 a month ago. its AWESOME
  24. good things the canadians are in Colombia. cause it snowed in central alberta today
