  1. @JC MCCavit i have a 98 SN and it does the same thing you are describing. i would love to know how to tighten it up. boat drives like a dream other than the play in the tilt
  2. @madcityskier I'm pretty sure it was set up properly. My ski buddy had been in contact with Dave himself. I think they make great skis. But I know that some skis suit others better. Good thing we don't all want the same ski. The ski world would be boring Or same style(although it'd be cool to ski like Nate)
  3. @madcityskier thats awesome. our last set in alberta was Nov 1. air was 35 F and water was 36 F. woke up the next morning and it was snowing and lake half frozen. gotta push the limits here, our season is so short as it is.
  4. @brody mine is sitting in my warm garage til i fly to florida as its -18 here right now. my pro shop is fantastic. Clint at Wizard Lake Marine is fantastic. gave me a 67" to ride for 4 weeks before my 66" arrived
  5. @OldGuysRule im an avid Colts fan. If i make the trip for a home playoff game in January and you guys are still skiing id love to come for a polar bear set. been frozen solid here in alberta since Nov. 2nd
  6. i need to come visit any of you. alberta has a winter storm warning issued today.
  7. @skijay i have always used the sequence plate. ive been told it was supposed to work better in theory but never had anything to compare it too. back to the cold topic. i live in alberta. we ski from the day the ice melts to the day it freezes. my body gets cold. but i actually feel like my ski performs better in cold water(maybe i need to work on fin adjustments when its warmer) but i feel like i dont need to pull as long and my turns are snappier and quicker. skied to a new PB in 36.5 degree water last day before the ice flow came in a couple weeks ago
  8. @19skier that's awesome. I also got a PB on nov. 1st in Alberta. Last set of the year. Pulled the course right after and good thing we did as we got 12 inches of snow on the ground in the last two days. Water temp was 36.5° perhaps I was afraid to fall in the water and that's why I skied so well
  9. @GOODESkier huge Props. any chance you can send me your "3 year plan" what an amazing feat youve accomplished. well done
  10. we are still skiing in alberta, although our days are numbered, a few days ago water was 43 and the air when we skied was 40. but skied to a new PB(but its practice so it doesnt count) although its hard to find a tournament in october in alberta so ill stick with my drysuit, toque, numb fingers PB. hoping for a couple more weeks before the ice stops us
  11. @MattP I was thinking the same thing. I'm Todd Schafer living in Lacombe, ALberta. 29 years old. Skied a handful of times before the age of 19. Started chasing buoys 4 years ago. Went to my first tournament 15 months ago. And have skied in Canadian Nats twice since then. I ski on a small public lake 25 minutes from home. We put our course in the day the ice breaks up. And the past 2 years we have had to bust up ice around the boat launch to get the boat in for the last ski/take out the course of the year. Met @Horton at the Calgary Pro Shootout this year.
  12. If I'm packing my ski. I'm packing my vests gloves and always my handle and rope. If you dont take a handle i feel It's like packing your hockey equipment but not taking your hockey stick
  13. @waternut you gotta try the vapor. Huge improvement from the yellow strada.
  14. i just got my hands on a 67 (coming off a 66 strada), it was the only option as alberta hasnt got any 66's yet. got 2 sets in the books, a 3rd one but it was just in the dark. so not a fair judgement. I weigh 165 and am 6 feet tall. the 67 doesnt feel big, but i still think id regret not trying a 66 just to see when it finally arrives. tonight i matched my practice PB during my second set on the vapor. wow do i love this ski. its so stable and smooth. i feel like i am so wide and early for the bouy. just awesome so far
  15. couldnt happen to a nicer more down to earth guy. just so easy going. congrats Nate. I hope he rounds 3 tomorrow
  16. @thager that was my thought as well. Part of the reason I like the sequence plate so much
  17. @jayski are you moving to the green machine?
  18. Can't wait to get my new Lambo. I was pretty excited before. Now I'm like a kid at Christmas.
  19. @horton do you use the sequence plate for your strada bindings? Or individual plates?
  20. I'm a 36 mph skier. -22 all the way up to running -32 once in a blue moon. My ski buddy just demoed a nano one. And I tried it. I'm on a strada right now(waiting for a vapor) and my buddy is a 32 and 34 mph skier on an S1. He couldn't turn the Goode. And described it as a lot of work to ski on. I tried it out of coureosity. I skied pretty well on it. But I also found it was much more effort to turn it than my strada. But I got much better results out of it at 36 than he did at 32 or 34.
  21. @jipster43 I think you will love the prophecy gloves. I used them for a couple years but now prefer the strada
  22. Masterline is hard to beat.
  23. Radar Strada with the boa system. at first i thought they were gimmicky. but i love them. bought 2 pairs in march in FLA. and i ski 9-12 sets a week and still using those same 2 pairs and they still seem like they have lots of life left
