+1 for getting one from @Ed_Obermeier I've had my floating course for 8 years from him. And some wear and tear that I've repaired on it and still going strong.
I had no commercials on my iPhone either. Thought the sound was great. But I did miss the display on the screen of current skier and scores. And no replays. But the commentators were good. And some really damn good skiing.
@Wish I didn't realize you were photographing me well I melted the ice. I'm sure I'm not the only one. But I've had some pretty wacky thoughts about speeding up the melt. Anywhere from chainsaws. To backhoes. To ice augers. To diesel heaters. But as @pgmoore said. Alberta is gonna get some warm weather. C'mon spring.
I think WSWC could take some notes from this proposal as well. IMO the Canadian nationals have a lot of the same complaints from a skiers standpoint. Too much money and travel for one round. Although we don't have the regional requirement. But I know there would be a significant increase in my division (mens) which is a combined M1 and M2 age group south of the border. Pulling 5-10 skiers in each division for a second round will definitely add a day or 2 to the tournament is the downside. But I think the pros outweigh the cons.
Reason for late February is I'm going to Florida mid march. And since it's so hard to simulate skiing off the water wanted to ski a little before I go ski 3 sets a day for 7 days straight.
Do any Ballers brave the winter and still ski through the cold in late February around Kelowna or Vernon BC? I'm looking for a few pulls instead of pulling my boat out from Alberta. Will bring $$$, gas, beer.
@pgmoore ya they sell a lot of ships there. to be honest i have never had them set anything up for me, ive done it myself, and then had @Swini adjust and re-adjust for me in Florida
@pgmoore you are in Edmonton right? Go see Clint Cole at Wizard Lake Marine. I've bought my last 3 skis from him. Numerous bindings. He will demo anything for you. And will give a very fair price.
@Horton my google machine tells me its 11 degrees Celcius with a 3 Km/h wind. for all us Albertans go for a christmas day swerve to burn off that turkey
