  1. 98 nautique with stargazer. Not a usaws score but iwwf score and most tourneys I ski are in Canada. I want a ZO boat very soon though.
  2. @6balls and I thought our Alberta "lake" was dirty. Love it!!
  3. @RazorRoss3 I feel your pain. I am 1 of 3 guys in all of Alberta who ski tournaments in Mens 1/2. I love the tourney pressure. And that drives me to lay it all on the line and some days I'm extatic about my score. And some days I am extremely sad/disappointed/frustrated. But regardless all those emotions bring me back for more. Just wish I had more guys to ski 36 against. And a close second is all the wonderful people in this sport that I get to hang out with on the dock/shore and cheer everyone else on. No matter what division they are in.
  4. The prophecy is a good ski. But that graphite senate will take you a long ways into the course in my opinion. Senate will be more forgiving while not holding you back.
  5. Thanks @RazorRoss3 for the tips. I skied last week with zero off and felt like I was gonna run it easy til I freaked out at 4 cause I was so early. I seldom get to ski zero off. And I feel like my stargazer I don't get that quick zip off the buoy like I do with zero off. Do you ever ski perfect pass anymore?
  6. Wileys maybe a little too soft hey @DmaxJC_ski ?
  7. Great skiing @RazorRoss3 I've done it once. Now just gotta find a way to repeat it. Tell me all your secrets
  8. Haha. I love all the awesome responses. It's between 3ft and 7 ft deep. I've been told they stocked it with fish 15 years ago and they didn't survive. I'm gonna try some copper sulphate around the dock area and see if I notice any change. (The price is right as I know some farmers)
  9. @DmaxJC_ski pictures are correct. I'd wager they Are not making my water clean by any stretch. And I'm sure they taste awful. @skiep I'd need a lot wouldn't I? It's a natural body of water. Probably 30 acres. @Booze that would work. But I don't think the bass could make it through the winter.
  10. It was suggested I try bluestone in the water. Told it would remove all the oxygen? That might be a bad thing though.
  11. I love my camaro blacktec(s) I like the one that had green on the inside better than last years.
  12. Had just a few last year. This year they are everywhere already. And getting as big as an inch long. Anybody have experience with this? How do I get rid of them? Seem to be worst around the shallow areas. I think the scientific name for them is "hyalella azteca" Thanks in advance
  13. Echo what @gregy said. Vapor is so easy and great to ski on.
  14. @lcarnes @LeonL I've lost about a dozen buoys to muskrats in the past 6 weeks. They were all polyform and they would mostly just chew the loop and then they would take on water and sink. I'm now trying some overtons which have a much tougher loop on the bottom hoping that might work better. What have you found best to combat the muskrats?
  15. @Fam-man good to see more central Alberta Ballers. Where do you normally ski? A new ski will turn easier, faster and feel more stable just to name a few things.
  16. My guess is the senate fin will be just as good(maybe better since its new) in quality as your old fin. And you know it fits properly
  17. So I think I've had my new Vapor for 3 weeks now. Between blowing a transmission and now being on holidays in Spain I think I had 10 sets on it before I skied a tournament at Seseña yesterday. I'm starting to feel really confident on it. With very little work it's cross course so quickly. I love it. To top it off first round tied my PB and last round set a new PB. Sky is the limit for this ski. The warm water doesn't hurt either. I'm scared to go home to cold Alberta water.
  18. Oh PS. @JAS is very innovative. This is how he prepared the transmission to be taken on the plane with my buddy. It worked perfectly.
  19. Been extremely busy. But I had a friend in Portland the week after my transmission blew. And @JAS had a rebuilt pcm transmission for sale. He went out of his way to get my friend the transmission so that he could bring it home for me. I popped it in on a Sunday morning in only a few hours learning as I went. And it's been running perfect for 10 days now. So thanks so much Jay. Ballers are awesome.
  20. @rawly I couldn't agree more with the 3 lakes 1 driver 1 coach. @brooks is a great guy
  21. spoken like a good albertan @jayski I agree that you have to have 2 of everything so that you have dry stuff to start each set with
  22. @JAS i only had 3 sets on in before the Transmission went on my boat. But its very fast and easy cross course, especially off the second wake i find im so wide and early, as i get some more time on it Ill let you know more of what i think
