Old MS Accout
Getting ready to order up some Stradas. Should I go with single or double plate? I am thinking double plates for better flex.
Baller Jim Neely Posted February 4, 2011 Baller Share Posted February 4, 2011 More adjustment possible with the single plate.
hogexpress
I've been on single plate for almost a year. The universal plate is designed such that it flexes with the ski because the front and rear attach points are not 'binding' the plate down. The plate is 'floating' through the use of spacers. The only point that gets tightened down to the ski is the 2 center screws. Also seems to me that 6 screws (single uni. plate) vs. 8 screws (double plate) would allow for more flex. Baller Dirt Posted February 4, 2011 Baller Share Posted February 4, 2011 I agree with the two posts above but a consideration for you (MS) is travelling. You will have one long plate with two bindings to try to pack in your ski bag.

Baller Killer Posted February 4, 2011 Baller Share Posted February 4, 2011 most of the radar team still uses the single plate FWIW for shipping can pull the boots off the plate, and attached the plate to the ski. no problems there.depending on which ski you use you can make 1/2 hole adjustments in fwd/aft as well. single plate does offer more flex as the pivot point is the middle both front and back float. single plates will not offer as much flex. biggest reason I believe they went to the dbl plate is for shipping reasons ya I love my sequence plate
Old MS Accout
Shipping not an issue for me. It all fits in the sport tube. Â Â
Baller Roger Posted February 4, 2011 Baller Share Posted February 4, 2011 I vote single also. Only 6 screws attach to ski. Of those, only the center 2 fix the plate position and there are two sets of holes for the center screws that line up 1/2 hole off for micro adjustments. Moving boots forward or backward 1/2, 1, 1 1/2 or whatever is two screws out, move plate to desired position, 2 screws in.I've been on my RS-1s for 4 years now, awesome system.Roger
MrB
Where do you start the measurement of the Strada binding? There seems to be 2 places on the boot. If I measure from the lowest point on the boot I'll get 29 1/2 or from the highest I'll get 29 1/4.

TomD
Are there any issues using a Strada front and a rear rubber boot (rather than a RTP)? Safety? Performance?
Baller_ Jody_Seal Posted February 7, 2011 Baller_ Share Posted February 7, 2011 I use a strada front and a D-3 high wrap rear. though I just got in a strada rear to try from Tadd today.
