Baller eleeski Posted February 20, 2011 Baller Share Posted February 20, 2011 Winter rocks!I'm up at Squaw Valley with 7 feet of sweet light powder. It was hard to breathe there was so much snow in my face. Not face shots, face streams! If it's got to be cold, it should be like that. Baller jipster43 Posted February 20, 2011 Baller Share Posted February 20, 2011 MCL tears suck!  Sometimes living 15 minutes from the slopes is no blessing either. I've been injured or sick for every powder day this year - including today's whispery white blessings. Oh well! At least I still get to shovel the driveway. Yay.JP :)

Old MS Accout
If I lived where there was some vertical I would not be so bummed. Powder rocks but not when its comming from my snow blower on a flat driveway. Teammalibu,My shoulder is still jacked so I cant ski anyway. A few more weeks and I will be G to G.

Have blown out the drive-three times already for drifting. Easily over a foot of fresh stuff. Blowing like heck. Can't even see my mailbox from the front door. Baller_ RichardDoane Posted February 20, 2011 Baller_ Share Posted February 20, 2011 skied 3 sets Saturday with Eddie, 2 on a new Vice, third on my Strada. Water of 40'F air temp of 45'F, but some wind chill from the North wind (cold Canadian air). The picture could be from August, but it was actually taken yesterday, sunny and clear in Seattle this weekend.

Nick Sullivan
Give us the story on the Vice! What did you think about it compared to your Strada?
Baller_ RichardDoane Posted February 20, 2011 Baller_ Share Posted February 20, 2011 It was an R & D ski, so not exactly the same as a stock Vice. It took a little bit to get used to it, but by the second set I could comfortable run -32. I hadn't skied in 2 weeks, so even though I made a couple of major blunders (one actually put me almost on shore) the Vice is responsive and forgiving enough to allow me to get back into a full pass. A great ski for the price, I'd recommend trying it if you're in the market for a new stick this season.

Baller swc5150 Posted February 21, 2011 Baller Share Posted February 21, 2011 Just went to lunch in Eau Claire, and it's coming down steady. It's still not preventing our public unions from haeading to Madison. Not to be political, but if someone offered to pay 95% of my retirement, that was guranteed until death after 25 years of working, I'd be on my knees thanking them!
