ToddF
Can you get a good mirror where you can see both sides of the course without too much movement? And for around a hundred dollars or less. I really don't want to pay 200 or 300 dollars for a mirror Thanks todd

Baller Razorskier1 Posted September 20, 2012 Baller Share Posted September 20, 2012 I was going to re-do some boat upholstery and my wife (and driver and ski partner) decided we should do the PTM mirror instead (about a week before the smaller, cheaper one came out!). $200 for the mirror, and another $200 for the bracket! Ouch! Should have it next week.
Baller eleeski Posted September 20, 2012 Baller Share Posted September 20, 2012 I love the Rawly mirror. No idea on cost or availability - I'm wanting one for my new boat. Kirk has one on the old boat. It's great for tricks. Slalom coaching focuses behind the wake so the wide view is less important to me. @Rawly posts here sometimes. Try a PM. ToddF
@jim neely, that thread is what got me looking. I have a cipa 7 x 14 now and the ptm looks to be the same mirror, and their next one up is 300 dollars. They claim to have a 100 degrees of viewing I don't know what the CIPA has, but I assume it is the same.
Baller AKShortline Posted September 20, 2012 Baller Share Posted September 20, 2012 Once you get over the cost, PTM Edge is way nice. A demo drive usually sells another mirror...
Baller rawly Posted September 21, 2012 Baller Share Posted September 21, 2012 Can probably find a used Rawly Vision mirror for under $100 Chez may have ended up with the mirror you were supposed to get Eric so I'll have Charlie bring one out to Imperial for you . Baller east tx skier Posted September 21, 2012 Baller Share Posted September 21, 2012 I sold my Rawley Vision earlier this year for around $60. It is an excellent mirror. But I needed something a little more compact since I remove my mirror for storage and towing. The PTM is a great mirror.
Baller Razorskier1 Posted September 21, 2012 Baller Share Posted September 21, 2012 I figure that once I put the VR-140 on the boat I won't go back. Good news is that I can keep the mirror if/when I sell the boat and just put the factory mirror back on it. So . . . while they are expensive, I hope to get a lot of years out of it. It will make it much easier for me to coach my wife than always having to look over my shoulder.
