B2 National Record

Really proud of Griffin Stange today for tying the B2 national record with 2@39. He came close at our

tourny on Thursday night running 1.5 twice. Put's him with some elite company like Tyler Scott who in spite of his old man @Chad_Scott is as solid a young man as you can find anywhere so pretty dam cool.

I was there for the record today. Had a good start, but took it easy on 2 after the 1 1/2 scores on Thursday. Hope he breaks it in WPB. Good job Griffin!

My son ski'd against Griffin at SCR last weekend and was blown away at how good this kid is. I think Griffin ran 3@38 in a solid tailwind that day, but it was clear he'd run that pass plenty of times. Because my son didn't realize something like this was even plausible, he was inspired to ski 3 sets the day we got back from SCR. Some people are born without the concept of limits, and it's impressive to watch

I pulled Sean Hunter's B2 tie of the record last year at Palm Bay. I believe that is 5 of them tied at 2@39 now. Pretty good company indeed with guys like CP and KC in that group!

I think everyone on the shore was counting each ball on his 38'. You could hear a chant 1, 2 ,3, 4 hold breath 5, 6 and then the roar of success from all. Was some very VERY impressive skiing!

The B2 Slalom record was one of the oldest current records in the book and the only one which was tied by 5 different people. 2.5@39 is awesome! Way to go Griff!

Griff just got 2.5 for the record at nationals. You should try skiing against him in the same division,bit now that he and another guy are moving out, zach butterflield and I are going to be top of scr b2 head to head one last year.

@ntx Logan is thirteen in ski years(fourteen in real life). @Bruce_Butterfield I don't think Logan would be very good @ three event. Plus his dad is so tough on him about slalom.

@texas_slalom_trick as an FYI I believe that @skidawg is Logan's father. I don't know Logan and have only seen video of him slaloming but I am sure that a kid at that age that can slalom like that can learn to trick and jump quickly if he wants to spend the time.

Ya'll are too serious. That was a poke at skidawg's IPA filled belly that there is more to skiing than slalom. A skier like Logan could be good at trick and jump with opportunity and desire. Sometimes available daylight and life priorities get in the way.

@Roger - yes, he was in that pass for sure. Darn handle pop. His offside at 3-ball was just a bit stalled and I guess the load was pretty solid when it hit. Does anyone know what is practice PB is?
