Effect of tower on boat

Ok for most boats weight matters. Towers add weight, passengers add weight, full gas tanks add weight, a wedge adds weight. Less weight results in a more ideal wake. More weight tends to adversely affect wake to some degree. The functionality of the tower is a trade off of sorts acceptable to some and not others. Some boats likely have hulls that are more/less affected by weight whether it be tower or people...but I will guarantee in general lighter is better regardless of boat on the margins.

I like to ski best behind a non-towered boat with a driver and a quarter tank of gas. I won't turn down a run behind a towered boat with a half tank and 2 observers.
