Baller Bulldog Posted March 1, 2016 Baller Share Posted March 1, 2016 I just finished a downhill ski trip and came to the realization that my ski poles are over 20 years old but I LOVE them... then on the drive home I was thinking "Which piece of my slalom gear is my favorite?" ... for me its a approximately five year old elliptical straight line handle. Not sure what I will do when it finally wears out, can buy them at the dealers here anymore (in the Canada handles last a few seasons lol) I guess I will deal with it when the time comes. Baller oldjeep Posted March 2, 2016 Baller Share Posted March 2, 2016 Snow ski gear it is a set of 20 year old spyder coach bibs that just won't die. Water ski gear, definitely my x-vest. Ribs are so much happier.

Baller rockdog Posted March 2, 2016 Baller Share Posted March 2, 2016 Does the boat count? I still absolutely love my 97 SN, I love skiing behind it and I love towing people behind it. There's nothing I can complain about. What a machine, even 19 years after it was built.
ahopkinsTXi
If a boat doesn't count I would vote my ski right now. I absolutely love my Quest 45. I am so confident and comfortable on it. Plus every set feels like a step forward. It may win over my boat anyway if I keep thinking about it!
Baller Bill22 Posted March 2, 2016 Baller Share Posted March 2, 2016 Portable course! If you are in a club you would not think of this as gear but for a public water guy it is at the top of my list.

Gold Member Than_Bogan Posted March 2, 2016 Gold Member Share Posted March 2, 2016 I think I have to go with my Camaro long shirt. No restriction whatsoever and allows me to handle the combination of New England "summer" and being a wuss. At this moment, my Denali ski is actually my favorite, but skis by their nature evolve quickly, so I'm sure within a few years I'll be on a new Denali. The long shirt will be there throughout, keeping me warm enough to ski up to my potential. The nature of this thread seemed more like "old friend," so I'm picking the Camaro. Baller Bulldog Posted March 2, 2016 Author Baller Share Posted March 2, 2016 @liquid d I wish our lakes were not frozen for half the year, then I could wear it out. I would be crazy if I lost that handle before it was worn out. "Do Better..."

Baller DefectiveDave Posted March 2, 2016 Baller Share Posted March 2, 2016 Camaro Blacktec 2.0mm. It's almost like wearing nothing at all and adds 2 good months to my season. When it gets me that much more time on the water, it does more to improve my skiing than any other piece of equipment I own. It's not even close. Baller jimbrake Posted March 2, 2016 Baller Share Posted March 2, 2016 Me. Old. Second favorite is my perfect-fit D3 Leverage bindings ranging in age from brand new to a couple of years old. Comfort, great lateral support, they release me when necessary and don't when not, slick outside so they slide over the water nicely unlike buckles on some hardshells, and they keep me from having to dive into binding threads on BOS. Baller_ MISkier Posted March 2, 2016 Baller_ Share Posted March 2, 2016 I'll have to say my baggy drysuit (Bare UltraDry). It is 7 years old. I would have said my O'Neill Hyperfreak heater top. - 5 years old. I can ski well in warm and cold weather wearing the drysuit, but cannot ski well in cold weather with just the heater top. Like @Than_Bogan, it is all about the warmth for me to ski up to my potential. The worst slalom equipment I own is between my ears.
