If you want ZO 08 was the first year. You may be able to convert an 07 but only after mid year production.

07’s definitely came with dealer installed ZO. Seeing how CC owned a good number of their dealerships in 07 I’d call that factory ZO.

Nautique was running dual PP/ZO boats in 07. I do recall a couple MC TT having the dual system too, 07 MC was the white hull with the red and black decals on each side.

I think ZO on the 196 started with the 343 but was and easy add on to the 330 2007. May have been about 1/2 way through 07 production.

We first saw ZO in September 2006 in a few very early 2007 196's. So 2007 196's could definitely have ZO. Early(before April I think)07's needed a reflash. 08 was when CC went solely to ZO from the factory.

I sold my 2007 S/N 196 this past summer. It had both ZO and PP. As you may recall the "Great Recession" basically started in 2007, and essentially continued for a couple years after that. There simply weren't many new 196s sold between 07 and 09. I would suggest that you coerce TEL to sell--so that he/she can get that new/used 200 at "winter" pricing (haha).

I just heard about a killer 08 for sale in southern California. I can personally vouch for this boat.

The Excalibur’s started in 2002. Any of those can be converted to ZO. 02-05 (pretty sure that’s right) will need to be converted to throttle by wire for ZO

Here's a picture of Rob's 196. it is a really nice boat and I think he wants to sell it for around 30k. (That is not the official price do not quote me.) I can vouch for Rob and the previous owner. The boat has been well taken care of, skis great and drives great.

I'm in the middle of updating a 2007 Ski Nautique 206 with the 330 Excaliber to Zero Off. Reportedly, not much more to it than buying the kit from Zero Off, drilling a hole, hooking it up, and updating the ECU.

 

Earlier years involve a bit more work. I understand 2007-09s are the easiest/cheapest. Dealer estimates 2-3 labor hours on top of the kit from Zero Off. I'm figuring $2k, all in.
