Ski site bucket list

Last fall on a business trip I skied at Canyon Lake and Mission Bay. The folks I connected with were so awesome and I loved learning about the different communities that have developed around the sites. It got me thinking.

I'd like to craft a personal "bucket list" style adventure for me to chase over the next "few" years. I see all these glorious ski sites on BOS and really fun ski communities. If I was to compile the most classic, interesting, or storied ski sites out there what would that list look like? What sites would you put on there?

Radar Lake feels like its right up there

BOS home base of course (assuming @Horton would have me)

What's on your list? No limits here either. International is fine. My only requirement would be Slalom skiing. Ideally a course but I'd even consider open water if it was a really special spot.

My ultimate bucket list destination is ski paradise in Acapulco. Some day?

Others that I would like to ski

Hilltop lake Wa

Warman lake Wa

Radar lake Wa

The Broho Wa

Travers ski school Florida

My favorites in Wa

Lake Curlew 7.5 miles long glass like water most all day long. No other boats on the lake except for a few fisherman. The Republic brewery is only 10 miles away?

Lake Entiat on the Columbia river in Wa there are 46 miles between dams and the water can be glass for miles. Super place to free ski

For a bucket list, I have to go big and go south, then back North...

1. Aqua ski in Tequequitengo

2. The ski site on Lake Chapala from the Worlds 2015

3. The lagoon at Acapulco

4. Ski Costa Rica

5. Miranda's in Chile

6. Stoney Park in Australia

7. Drepani Water Ski in Greece

8. Lacendau (spelling?) France...food, wine, skiing. Yes, please.

9. The site in England that consistently hosts jumpers posting huge jumps (name?) Thorpe?

10. Since it's a bucket list - back in time to Lake McQueeney in the 1980s when the lake was still smooth, the slalom course was straight and the ramp was in good shape. Back to where it all began!

The best performing for me has been Warman, I have never missed 38 there, it feels like butter. A really fun place to ski is Ski Paradise in Acapulco. Gordon & crew do everything 1st class! Another site that skis incredible is Valensin Ranch that Paul Crawford is running it

wherever @Horton skis, so that he finally won't have any excuse to add San Gervasio to the top of that list!

Jokes aside, I have always wanted to ski legendary public water spots. Lake Tahoe for one, but also the river nearby Seoul with all the ski clubs.

One that I was able to cross off is Lake Sammamish… even if just for the history. @savaiusini brought me there on a trip to the Mothership I did a few years back. We also skied the course, but the free skiing was the best part for sure B)

I would love to also ski the big lake at Swiss on the right after you enter the gate. Wild but looks like you can ski mad buoys there.

I have also been playing around with the idea of skiing around Lake Iseo and see how many turns I can do in a day. It's a half-baked idea for a charity project, but I'd love to ski there again.

Yeah, this can go on and on…

A few of my growing list of bucket list favorites that I have skied so far:

1. Priest Lake, ID - on the list because it's the first lake I ever skied on

2. Radar Lake, WA - was my primary site from 2008 to 2013 until I came to work at HO

3. Sun Basin, WA

4. Broho Lake, WA - home site since 2013

5. Hilltop Lake, WA - we do a lot of our testing here

6. Lake Sammamish, WA - because I actually live here

7. Wailua River, Kauai - because Hawaii

8. Ski Sunset Ranch, CA - because Doug and Robbie made it what it is today

9. Lake Arenal, CR - because volcanos

10. Crystal Point Estates, AZ

11. Lapoint Ski Park, FL - possibly the most unique and also tricky to drive

12. Lake Entiat, WA - for the same reasons that @cougfan stated
