I’ve been a hard core slalom/3 event skier since 1968 and I know nothing about this sport. But I’d certainly go watch it. Those guys have balls! Baller jjackkrash Posted August 13, 2022 Baller Share Posted August 13, 2022 I took a hot lap in one of these boats and my back hurt--bad--for two weeks. I could not believe the pounding. I was supposed to take 3 laps and tapped out after one lap. The boat I was in was an unlimited inboard (top fueled 8.2L twin turbo/1500 HP engine) and we were running hot in about 3 feet of cross chop. These folks are bonkers. You’ll also see that the inland stuff with the rollers is not actually that fast - the conditions drop the speed to around 50-60mph. More folk get injured in 3 - event than racing.
