Administrators Horton Posted September 26, 2023 Administrators Share Posted September 26, 2023 The Radar Vapor review took a week or two longer than it should have because I went down a totally unnecessary rabbit hole. The exact details of the rabbit hole are irrelevant - my bindings were in the wrong place and I repeatedly adjusted them farther from where they should have been. When I finally got my head out of my rectum and reset everything to stock the ski worked as it was designed. The lesson is when things are not working….. double-check everything and when in doubt go back to stock. ( the review should be published 9/27 ) 5 Goode ★ HO Syndicate ★ KD Skis ★ MasterCraft ★ PerfSki Radar ★ Reflex ★ S Lines ★ Stokes ★ Baller Video Coaching System Become a Supporting Member or make a One-time Donation

Baller_ DW Posted September 28, 2023 Baller_ Share Posted September 28, 2023 A #2 pencil is a very handy tool to provide a quick visual on where things are or should be. Just make sure your next move isn't preceded by "hold my beer".
Baller ToddL Posted September 28, 2023 Baller Share Posted September 28, 2023 You landed back at stock binding location? I am a touch back. Ski is cranking turns. I may push it up to stock and try again.
Administrators Horton Posted September 28, 2023 Author Administrators Share Posted September 28, 2023 @ToddL at Short/Deep I was about 1/8th back from stock. With Long/Shallow I am at 30 1/8th ( on Vapor Boot ) 1 Goode ★ HO Syndicate ★ KD Skis ★ MasterCraft ★ PerfSki Radar ★ Reflex ★ S Lines ★ Stokes ★ Baller Video Coaching System Become a Supporting Member or make a One-time Donation
Administrators Horton Posted September 28, 2023 Author Administrators Share Posted September 28, 2023 @DW instead of a #2 pencil I use a strip of duct tape. Somehow I lost track where stock was in relation to the tape and did not think to go back to scratch and remeasure everything. I would hate to think of how much fuel I burnt wondering what was wrong. Baller tjm Posted September 29, 2023 Baller Share Posted September 29, 2023 @Horton so sounds like the ski is quite sensitive to fin and binding settings.
Administrators Horton Posted September 29, 2023 Author Administrators Share Posted September 29, 2023 @tjm sort of. I was really messing with binding placement. when you move 1/8 of an inch at a time, it doesn't take many moves to get way out of a practical zone Goode ★ HO Syndicate ★ KD Skis ★ MasterCraft ★ PerfSki Radar ★ Reflex ★ S Lines ★ Stokes ★ Baller Video Coaching System Become a Supporting Member or make a One-time Donation
