Baller itsallyellow Posted October 31, 2023 Baller Share Posted October 31, 2023 This would be our dream property. How hard is it to buy something like this a relocate from the UK? Is US immigration a difficult process? What is that area of the country like? What are the weather seasons? Thanks
Baller Cooper_Trelawney Posted October 31, 2023 Baller Share Posted October 31, 2023 @itsallyellow Louisiana is one of the most unique parts of the US due to it's history, geography and culture. People are friendly and the cuisine is great. Expect hot, humid summers. Idk what the immigration process is. Good luck with your quest!
Baller itsallyellow Posted October 31, 2023 Baller Share Posted October 31, 2023 Thanks for the reply, Hot is good for us and having spent the last few hours researching the whole thing looks to be exactly what we would want. Property market is a bit slow over here at the moment which could be a stumbling block as we would need to sell a couple of our properties. Could gators be an issue?
Baller Broussard Posted October 31, 2023 Baller Share Posted October 31, 2023 (edited) @itsallyellow Might seem a bit strange at first, but you'll learn to love the taste of 'em! Edited October 31, 2023 by Broussard 2 2 .

Baller Cooper_Trelawney Posted October 31, 2023 Baller Share Posted October 31, 2023 @itsallyellow the real estate market in the US has cooled off some too. I'm a realtor in Texas. Unfortunately I'm not licensed in Louisiana. If y'all are serious, contact the seller @Jeff Danos. I'm sure he can steer you to a local Louisiana real estate expert to help you. Good luck!

Baller ForrestGump Posted November 5, 2023 Baller Share Posted November 5, 2023 One of my favorite places I've skied. Such a unique place. Ski in front and hang out on the open water in back. Couldn't ask for a better set of neighbors in the Franks, also.
Baller cruznski Posted November 5, 2023 Baller Share Posted November 5, 2023 That is a great set up and property, really nice. That there is bass fishing is a huge plus for me. The wooded surrounds look great.

Baller Andre Posted November 6, 2023 Baller Share Posted November 6, 2023 Watched the pix yesterday with my girlfriend. She almost fainted when she saw the laundry room... 🙂 1 My ski finish in 16.95 but my ass is out of tolerance!
Baller Jeff Danos Posted November 6, 2023 Author Baller Share Posted November 6, 2023 I don't think I've seen anything that compares to it - anywhere. It was an awesome place to raise our children. It's in the Mandeville school district, which is one of the best in the region. We have it priced well below replacement cost.
