  1. I can’t believe US still mostly haven’t changed over, metric is so much easier. The refusal to even want to learn a clearly superior system staggers me.
  2. @04196 I like the idea, but the issue I have is the stern of the boat in the water is way low so when you winch up you need to physically lift the stern over the roller and winch some more, wouldn't lifting your roller up even more make it more difficult to get the stern over the roller? I had the crash pads on my old CTW for my 196 and was a much easier set up.
  3. I don't think there's enough settings to play with... time for Rev T.
  4. I like the colour layout too, basic is the way to go I reckon!
  5. @wish that's where you want it the tightest isn't it? I have my top buckle on my R-style (over the bridge) tighter than the bottom over the toes one. Foot comes out no problem when required. There's not much point in having it tighter down at the toes is there?
  6. I love @matthewbrown view on the 97 SN, something along the lines of CC should have pulled out the deck chair and feet up & cigar in hand after designing that hull. I just upgraded mine to an 08 with ZO but I'll always love that bubble butt.
  7. @horton where are you on the teak v glass platforms? I see you've had both now?
  8. Those passes looked unbelievable all the way through. So early! I can’t scrap a 14m like @adamhcaldwell scraps a 10.25m. Absolutely amazing skiing, in a suit no less.
  9. Yes you’re right, I actually didn’t think it would blow up (naively) as it has, I very simply saw $40k and nearly died of disappointment that we’re at this point. Delete this thread and save me please.
  10. No @horton it goes to the direction the sport is heading in..
  11. @LeonL no I’m not buying and agree with you completely, I’d seen the thread on that 200 and would buy that in a heartbeat. @skierjp apart from the engine cost difference which is obvious and pointed out straight away, they are apples/apples. One is a Malibu with options and the other a Nautique with options and they compete for our business with those particular models. Thanks for adding up $40k though with those things, I don’t how Will, Regina Tgas can compete with such an old relic to train behind ever day. ?
  12. Just noticed on SIA two 2019 boats with 90hrs on each. The TXI 6lt at $61k and the SN 6.2lt at $102k. Whoa a $40k difference is unbelievable when you think about it. What's the SN going to give us apart from tuners that will make us spend $40k more?
  13. I like quite a lot of torque on my rudder, even when I max out the tab it's not quite enough but still fine really. My last 196 was grinded and was perfect, you didn't want to let go of the wheel though, took a wild step to the left!
  14. I agree for sure there should be video for such a big event and the reasons for doing so, I’m just trying to think of what the organisers reasons would be as to why they don’t bother. I mean all these near misses etc aren’t new to the event, yet still nothing changes. ?‍♂️
  15. Further, everyone keeps asking why no official video. It’s not a record capable course so why would there be video? Or am I missing something here?
  16. Correct @kelvin. We get an hour of highlights next month I think on one of the crap Fox channels that nobody watches (Aurora?). All boat video.
  17. You’ve just got these ones @MS ? How?
  18. The drain had nothing to do with anything. Never has. The conditions were perfect today. The biggest shock was Nate’s score. He’ll be happy to be through but must be a little concerned at the form of the other guys. Makes for a great day tomorrow. Well done to Will obliterating the course record, that was amazing to watch. Go Joel!
  19. Dang it @wish, I hope you sort it out soon.
  20. yep get em done mate, easy fix hopefully for you and certainly worth the try.
  21. @Wish I haven't read everything here, but just this past month my ski partner had a similar issue on his Ex330. He thought bad fuel, I thought electrical from the start so we pulled all the Iridium plugs and replaced with standard plugs - problem gone immediately. If you haven't done plugs for a few years then it's the first thing I'd do anyway.. I think that's what it is.
