  1. My 12-13 foot with thin reflex liner starts getting a little tight up there.
  2. Yes I get that @horton, the point is I'm interested to try the radius handle.
  3. Don't bother with it, replace with a Precision Star GPS speedo from Perfect Pass. It's the perfect option if you don't have Stagazer (which has it's own speedo) and still use an older style speedo. GPS can't miss. $350.
  4. Getting a new handle soon. Aside from the supply issue from US Gear as discussed in a previous thread, who uses US Gear and who uses Masterline for example? I'm debating whether I should try a curved end US Gear. I have seen a number of people rate the US Gear handles but how many actually use them? What is the fundamental difference between that curved end as opposed to the regular ends, how does it affect your skiing?
  5. Agree totally @razorskier1. My view is CP is getting older and his form of the past seems to have deserted him, not because of the ski is on, he's just getting older. Moving to a new stick would be as good as holiday in his mind I think.
  6. Gee that looks great, that would be a very affordable upgrade from my 97 SN GT40. Hmmm.
  7. I think it's the ability of the coach to recognise which of their students requires "technical talk" and which doesn't and whether those students can make sense of what's being said. I've seen a couple of coaches whom have tried to get to analytical to students who cannot understand the instructions when all they require is a basic approach. Maybe they feel they need to do that since they are being paid to come up with something? Good basic instructions ie. good stack, gates etc. are very valuable to students who are learning the course for example just as proper ski setup technical analysis to skiers running 32/35 and beyond. Some coaches seem to not see the difference.
  8. Thanks @east_tex_skier, that's a helpful pic. @Jody_Seal‌ I have messaged you to help me get out of this mess!
  9. Any chance I could do the other side just at least to even it up? I realize it will take a little off the overall length, but spending $600 on a new one doesn't appeal at the moment. Will it affect performance significantly?
  10. So somebody has ground down the wrong side?
  11. @Jody_Seal see pics attached of my rudder, 97 SN. This is wrong side isn't it? Sorry I'm easily confused. Has it been grinded or is this factory spec? Sorry if my photo's are massive, first time I've done it. @mattp what is the optimum pixel size for photo's to be?
  12. I recently went to .940 Radar and wish I didn't, too thin. Stick with 1" or slightly larger I think. Of course depends on your hand/finger size.
  13. Always check the homepage on my way to the forum, always in the hope of finding some interesting news.
  14. I didn't hear CP say it was "ridiculous" last year when he won and many others missed their gates. I live in Melbourne and certainly know what the river is like although I've never skied on it, I can tell you nothing has changed on it since day dot bar cleaning it up significantly. What has changed? Shorter ropes and guys pushing the boundaries further for starters. I spoke with CP and Andy last Thursday night and asked Andy about how tough the conditions are on the water compared to other events and he said it wasn't as bad as people make out. Granted the current is SOMETIMES difficult he said, but the US Masters is just as tough due to the rollers. Understanding here is a guy who has won the event 14 times, clearly he knows how to navigate the conditions as does Chris but just this time out, they both failed. Next year they both may finish 1 & 2, who knows.
  15. @mzito you should consider a Reflex R-style rear, I have recently got one and it is very good, worth a try I think.
  16. Fantastic effort by @joelhowley today to get the win at the Australian Open. My hope was he would step up this season and he couldn't have started it better. We'll done Joel!! Looks like Detrick may threaten for wins this season in the US also.
  17. Damn credit cards, they 'll be the death of me. Hang on.... maybe I can find some REAL use for it, see above Jody's link.
  18. I'm ready, don't think my wife is...
  19. Stop making sense @6balls, you will ruin this thread. Simple fact is the more "extras" you put in a boat, the more markup can be put on end price thus covering the years of R&D for that model. If sales increase annually, why would you dumb it down? People paying the asking price is the one and only factor which makes them so expensive.
  20. @6balls and @OB things were very different 4years ago...
  21. I saw that earlier today and wasn't sure either. Which is it, PP or ZO, good deal if ZO. Always sounds better too when a baller will stand by it.
  22. My kids have upgraded from the biscuit to trainer to the kneeboard. When skiing with the other 'crew' it's slalom then barefoot, nothing else.
  23. Wow is that me??? Same things to work on, get those hips up and handle in and you will be stacked pretty well I think. As @wish says also, need to get a bit higher up on the boat on your glide. Looks good otherwise IMO.
  24. Same as @Onside 135, I must pull my boardies back down my leg after a deepie. Left hand pull both legs back down, kind of annoying really since one end of the course is a short setup.
