  1. @churchy I'm a bit lost as to how that happened. For the GPS to work the course must be mapped via entrance and exit gates, how did it only pick up the exit gates?
  2. @wish I tested mine yesterday as I said and discovered my leak is actually the water pick up through hull, so I'm of no help sorry. But I do have a decent size patch on the side of the baffle somebody else had already done. Good luck with it.
  3. Absolutely, regularly. Whenever I have a ski always look to have a foot to finish the day off if conditions permit.
  4. @wish I have a similar water problem in my 97SN also and after seeing your post I believe it may be the same issue. Just had a look at my baffle and found it has already had a repair in the same spot. I will be testing on Tuesday and think I may find it's now underneath that has a crack. I'll report back.
  5. I am planning to move to Reflex with R-style also. You guys have got me questioning whether the R-style is a good idea, I like the idea of it but really need my heel to be secured down. It seems there is also quite a number of people running a Strada rear, anyone who can advise on pros/cons of that? I think running any kind of regular rubber boot rear ie Animal, Wiley (Jobe Limit which I currently use) is taking a step backwards on the safety front, so this is where I had decided on the R-style. Not sure now.
  6. Pretty generous @jhughes! I find with our regular crew everybody puts in cash evenly to cover car and boat fuel and we fill up on the way to the lake. Works out really well when everybody knows the story. One-off guests or kids don't pay. Bit like the rope/handle situation, it's only our crew who use them so no need for everybody to have their own, but as only two of us are boat owners and we alternate it is welcomed when others help with cleaning or whatever. Skiing is certainly expensive, but not nearly as expensive as being a boat owner, the one who is responsible for getting the show on the road!!
  7. I'd like to hear from those who use the R-style?
  8. I have been subscribing for some time with my ipad app which is a fantastic way to view the mag, though the last few editions have not come to me for more than week into the new month and I have yet to see the Sept edition (maybe there isn't one not sure?) Emailed Todd a week or so ago attempting to get some answers but have not heard back.
  9. Love it @skijay. The missus is as straight as an arrow too! Sunglasses even shows the taking it easy approach.
  10. @stevieboy @ozski, if we're honest the look of a ski is always considered. Since I'm in the graphic game, I consider the Quest to be the worst looking ski since I can't remember what. I would have sacked myself for coming up with those graphics.
  11. Never skied the pro star, but I have the 97 SN and love it. Magnificent wake.
  12. Amazing. The potential he's got to go further is what gets me. He's only 22 or so. Even CP, Will likely can't WORK on 43, Nate is there so often he can.
  13. What do you use now @shaneh? Isn't there a little sock thing available from Reflex which slides over the release?
  14. It's very difficult to get decent water time with try before you buy for say 4 skis you are looking seriously at. Therefore isn't it really a case of choosing one and just getting used to it? As @liquid d says, use it long enough to get it dialed in and surely you can make any good ski work for you? I don't understand people who buy $1500 odd skis and say they can't use them after two weeks and sell them.
  15. Not sure if still relevant, my mate bought one 18 months ago for $23 or $24k. Excellent condition, fully service history, approx 200 hours. Very good deal at the time we thought.
  16. I think anyone on IE should get off it, it's a disease bucket!! Firefox or Chrome is the way to go!!
  17. Yes @Mattp, I think I've fixed it now. Followed advice above, clear cache, cookies, history etc. Seems to b OK now.
  18. I can' t get forum either on my android phone using chrome, what's with that? Started about three weeks ago.
  19. May be for a pair or may not be, given plenty of folks only need one if using RTP. Still confusing price differences.
  20. @kcswerver which ones are they specifically? I had been referring to intuition aqua's which are around $170 each.
  21. Intuitions would want to be amazing for what they cost, more than double reflex. What other options are there?
  22. @horton, that's about my level. You're confusing me now, Prophecy or A3?
  23. My latest SG Version 8 has no magnet course mapping included, even without zbox. Maps up to three courses only though.
