  1. I think that 80 million people would disagree about cable being dead ;)
  2. Some antifreeze might make it into the raw water pump output side, because I fill the engine through the top of J hose on the circ pump. (pour it in)
  3. I don't know - in the long run it has been cheap to change it every 150 hours or so and keep a spare in the glovebox for an emergency. Even after 150 they are like new unless you are running them dry. Waste of resources to be throwing away perfectly good impellers.
  4. Corn hole is on ESPN. Although I suspect it has more people interested in watching it than waterskiing. My .02 - you want skiing on TV, try to hook it in with a gravity game type event - slalom and jump and forget about trick.
  5. Weird, the puller is supposed to grab the hub. Good you got it out. I replace mine every 2 to 3 years and luckily have not had one get stuck like that.
  6. Why didn't the impeller puller work?
  7. I'm guessing approaching 32 rapidly. Tucked the boat in for the winter today.
  8. @adkh2oskier - that sounds like a lot of work. I'm a downhill racer
  9. Turned out to be 7 inches of snow ;)
  10. Great kits. One of my co workers built one of their cobra kits with coyote power.
  11. My driver kind of loses interest in the high 50's ;) But in general once it starts snowing we are done. Unfortunately it looks like the motorcycles might be done for the season too unless the temp comes up and the moisture is off the roads. I don't care about the cold, but if there is any chance of ice - I'm out.
  12. Might be a month or 2 before that is possible
  13. @BrennanKMN - but what else are you supposed to do when ski season is over?
  14. Guess that is it. Supposed to get 2-4" of snow today. The oil is draining out into the home depot bucket and I'll deal with the filter/refill, replace impeller and draining all the water tomorrow.
  15. Bunks definitely need adjustment. How many lugs on the wheels. That will give you a clue to axle capacity.
  16. Shorlandr makes a lot of inboard trailers.
  17. Depends on the angle of the ramp, and if your trailer doesn't have V bunks at the front it makes the loading even more finicky as the bow will tend to want to come in under the roller if you have the trailer a little too shallow. I'd see if there is anything you can do to adjust your guide posts to get them closer to the rails. Otherwise - err on the side of a little shallow to start so that the boat is able to settle on the bunks. 2 bunks is going to be a tough load no matter what, the good modern trailers have 6.
  18. I just drain it all - remove block drains, j hose, output hose from raw water pump, manifold crossover and remove the heater hoses and manually blow them out. This ensures all of the water is out of the system. Then fill the upper heater hose until I can hear it run into the circ pump. I then pour antifreeze in through the hose that goes from the thermostat to the circulation pump. Use about 2 gallons to do this. At no time do I start the engine.
  19. Mine is never warm when I drain the oil. Winterization happens when one day I say - guess that is it. I just pull the oil drain line out the hull drain and let it drain into a bucket for a day or so. Boat is always in the attached garage.
  20. Odd coincidence, but anyone in MN want a free weight bench, bars and weights? Was over at the lake place helping my folks get the docks and boats put away and my dad said he wanted to get rid of this stuff since he had just ordered a bunch of new equipment. Nothing fancy and it all needs to be cleaned since it has been sitting in the boathouse. Old DP plastic sand filled weights. Stuff is currently in Victoria in the back of my truck
  21. Just a tip on the treadmills, we have worn out 5 of them before moving to the zero runner (bad knees on both of us from years of running). The cheap ones don't hold up to 185lbs running on them for long if you are doing many miles. For my wife, anything can survive long term - but if you are a bigger guy look for a commercial quality unit. The last one we had was an extended deck Nordic Trac, which is also nice if you are taller/longer stride. We bought that one when my 6ft 2 kid was running track.
  22. Also - not sure what it is like in CA, but around here you can typically find free/cheap home exercise equipment on craigslist (treadmills, bowflex, nordic trac, exercise bikes, ellipticals. Typically from people who are moving. Not always real high end stuff, but usable.
  23. You really need a set of stall bars to get full use out of the TRX stuff, unless you have just the right tree in the back yard. I don't recall who made these, but they are a TRX style setup that my wife uses on her stall bars - which were also modified by me to function as a pilates wall. Edit - they are TruFit Unit 2.0. I got them as a prize a few years ago https://gettrufit.com/ols/products/trufit-universal-trainer
  24. According to my wife, you need all this stuff ;) But seriously, a pullup bar and body weight is plenty to start. Get a yoga mat and start doing some online stuff. Couple of cheap yoga blocks work well for doing deeper pushups with. Add in anything that makes sense for your budget/space. We have all this stuff because my wife is a yoga/pilates/personal trainer. Ignore that guy who says to get rid of booze and ice cream, that is just crazy talk. FWIW - I don't do weights any bigger than dumb bells.
