  1. Alternately try contacting https://www.domednumbers.com/ They make a lot of replacement lettering for Malibu fonts. Maybe they have the mastercraft ones too https://www.domednumbers.com/online-store/Mastercraft-c22283057
  2. Just remove them entirely? Makes it a lot easier to wax, and folks know it is a Mastercraft without the huge letters
  3. Jump in the water with a mop and start cleaning. Most stuff on hulls comes off pretty easy when it is still wet - assuming you haven't completely roughed up the surface of the boat previously.
  4. Elbow grease and Collinite 920 fiberglass boat cleaner - followed by a couple coats of sealant or wax.
  5. @skibug I've got Mitutoyo and Northern tool calipers. There isn't even $5 worth of difference between them which surprises me, but I would no longer spend the extra money on the name brand stuff for my purposes.
  6. 12" dial caliper from Northern. https://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200710042_200710042 $50 I've got dial and digital calipers, only complaint about the digital is that the battery seems to go dead too quickly.
  7. The article is a poorly summarized Facebook post from the mother that is linked in the article. Mother says his drowning was secondary, and even if it hadn't happened he wouldn't have lived.
  8. Modern boats do have catalytic convertors - My 2012 does. The boat in that article is a from the 80's. That article has been running around every boating site lately and many seem to miss the fact that the kid died from drowning with no life jacket on. It's a tragedy in more than one way, but seems written as someone trying to absolve themselves from responsibility.
  9. If you are raising money for a particular charity - check with the charity to see if they have some sort of coverage they can provide. Polar plunges are a big deal around here - benefits special olympics
  10. What kind of tower? I run a Malibu ski rack on my Malibu tower.
  11. Seems like the driver should have stopped that one - for any obstruction in the course. Glad you are OK
  12. I kick into my HRT, just as easy as an RTP once you get used to putting foot in at an angle and not kicking the back of the boot. If you have the boa version it might be tougher, but the standard with the elastic laces I find easy enough
  13. Virtually everything I have sold out of the country has used a forwarding service.
  14. Well, not sure what you should do - other than don't sell out of the country if you don't trust that sort of arrangement. Even shipping things to canada many people will use washington state addresses so that the shipping is cheaper/easier and the seller doesn't have to deal with customs/declaration paperwork.
  15. Looks like a legit freight forwarder Right here they describe the addressing https://support.usa2georgia.com/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/58
  16. An old fashion careening - going old school to scrape the barnacles?
  17. Less lawn to mow and a slightly deeper lake.
  18. Makes no sense, but it does. A few years back Mark O of gekko had a boat redone with a black cool touch vinyl. When I touched it I couldn't believe that in direct sun it didn't seem to soak up the heat. It was cooler than the off white interior of the boat I was in.
  19. The mechanical issues are no big deal. The electrical will cause gremlins forever unless the entire wiring harness is replaced. Curious if a modern Prostar has flotation foam - not required in boats >= 20 ft
  20. If you have insurance Step 1 - file a claim Step 2 - let them haul it away If you don't Get the engine/trans drained out asap, pull the plugs. Put fluids back in, crank it over to get any water out of cylinders. Then put plugs back in and start it up. Then you need to keep draining and refilling the oil/trans fluid until it looks decent. Don't stop until you have gotten it all in a good state and can run the engine normally. Whatever you do, don't drain everything out and let it sit or the engine will be junk. You are going to need a new starter, new alternator and you will be chasing electrical gremlins in the wiring and dash for the rest of the time you own the boat. - So you may just want to set it on fire now and save yourself the trouble.
  21. Look at the 2012 instrument systems manual here - page 23 is showing a speedo calibration menu item that may apply to your 2013 https://www.mastercraft.com/manuals
  22. The simple process would be to use your phone and a GPS speed app instead of the boat speedo.
  23. @MNshortliner - those have been around a long time https://www.boardco.com/Follow-BP-Pro-Impact-Life-Vest-in-Denim
  24. LOL, looks like the speedsuits that one of the local (downhill) ski racing teams has.
  25. My father in-law (74) just started using a power vest before and now after shoulder replacement surgery. Seems to be a good way to extend his ski life. Can't imagine using one just because I am 50, but good to know there is an option if I get old ?
