  1. Jeebus that thing looks huge. How big a tank does it fill? Johnson likely sells replacement motors, or a motor rebuild shop could do it if your fix doesn't work. Have to say I have not seen a ballast pump like that before. Edit gpm looks same as my cheap malibu stuff.
  2. Ballast pump cartridges are cheap and not really serviceable. If the motor got water in it, it is likely all corroded. The ones for my boat are about $40 https://www.malibuparts.com/products/ballast-pump-cartridge
  3. Pretty much any lake in MN at 6AM ;)
  4. @LK_skier Electric over hydraulic is not a big thing here in the US. Seems to be more common in places with a lot of under sized tow vehicles. In general boat trailers in the US are hydraulic and most larger non boat trailers (car trailers and bigger) are straight electric.
  5. Not sure there has ever been a level of consistency for snow skis. So much more than overall length goes into picking a length of a particular ski, turn radius in particular - and a lot of times it is just how it feels to you. With snow skis it has been relatively easy to test out different lengths of the same ski if you are willing to go to where ever the demo days are - waterskis seem like it would be tougher to try out multiple sizes in the same day.
  6. Precision stuff is built using decimals - never seen a dial indicator that said 5/32 ;)
  7. I can measure anything accurately down to an RCH using standard measurements ;) I recall that horrible metric experiment they did here in the US for a while. Wonder what they did with all those dual speed limit signs?
  8. Must be an optical illusion. Looks like you would save about a foot if you took that platform off. Edit - metric sucks. 50cm is 19 inches - seems right ;)
  9. I won these with some other goodies from Ski-It-Again. I don't run a wing and neither do the other folks I ski with. Free to someone who can use them (In the USA). Just call dibs and PM me an address to mail them to.
  10. @lpskier I have no idea how deep the lake in ft Myers is. It was apparently dug for material to make the roads that flank it. It is just long enough to hold the courses, I don't drive there - it scares me a little. You have to be careful as a driver and skier if you like to just spin and do 4 passes like I prefer.
  11. @lpskier - I think most "lakes" in FL are just borrow pits for construction. I know the one we go to in Ft Myers is.
  12. Good downhill form. That looks fun in a scary kind of way. Funny that the skis you see in the background of the interview are using downhill ski bindings - old salomons.
  13. If we are including beer then I may need to change my answer
  14. Always seems to be a paddleboard, kayak, reef mat, accessory type of expense every year. And we don't even live on a lake.
  15. Dunno about that. Standard feature on most mid to upper trim cars and trucks these days. They do tend to be a lot smaller now. The one on my wife's infinity system is maybe 6 inches.
  16. Most boats the factory sub is under the helm. Fine if you are short, but seems like a dumb place for it.
  17. @paul that doesn't keep all the rest of the traffic from filling your boat with slush and dirt
  18. Yes, pallet wrap over rub rail and under past where cover goes. Install cover with no poles maybe prostar come with crappy covers, but the Commercial Sewing factory covers on other brands are made to tow.
  19. Guess it depends on the cover. The factory malibu covers are tight as a drum and tow fine.
  20. Shrink wrap from home depot will stay on fine. If you are worried about the tow vehicle kicking stuff up consider some rock tamers. I assume you are using the cover for the trip home.
  21. Got to go out today in FL with my in-laws wasn't pretty but fun. That'll be it until April/May.
  22. Discount rents 3/4 ton trucks you can tow with, as do a lot of local equipment rental places. Finding any sort of 1 way rental would be tough.
