  1. @Stevie Boy the 2023 vapor is a refined version of the 2022, so I would recommend going with the 23. It’s the 2nd year of that shape, so it’s a smaller change, but To answer your question I would say it’s the better ski. it’s the same ski/shape the only thing we did was we did a softer layup especially through the tip, that allows it to move through the backside of the turn more automatic. I think you’ll find you would like that more so.
  2. Stoked to hear you're all about it! @aupatkingI tell everyone the same thing when someone asks about it; it was the first boot that got me to switch off of Reflex and I was on Reflex for 10 years. It is extremely good!!
  3. @aupatkingWe're measuring from the base of the vapor boot where it touches the plate.
  4. +1 for The Boarding School and Rinis. TBS is great because you can do more than just slalom there, which is great for the kids. Travis is awesome! Rinis has a great core group that's always there, cant go wrong with either!
  5. I'm pretty sure hes lived in France for a lot of years. @RichardDoane. Terry will probably know more.
  6. I second @twhisper& @adamhcaldwellI think my main focus has always been to have the best power to weight ratio I can and trying to stay as lean as I can. I've also focused a lot on my core, I feel like its the key to having everything be strong and having a stronger core protects your back. Building on what the two have said above; since I was a kid I can confidently say I've have spent 100x the amount studying skiers and going out and skiing than spending time in the gym. Just always Obsessed with watching learning. I take that and try to be laser focused and ALWAYS have a goal when I went out and skied. Being strong is part of it, but the more you understand it the farther you will get. This sport is 80% mental.
  7. Yeah once I went to dial I never went back. Much easier and more accurate. I’ve used INSIZE calipers for the last 5 years; love them. Also on Amazon!
  8. Its not super old, but the waterski segment down in Acapulco in the warren miller film from 2005 "Impact" was extremely good. Especially with Warren miller narrating it. I wish someone would pull it from the film and put it on YouTube. Maybe @MarcusBrownhas it handy! very underrated.
  9. @Jmoski thats a huge bummer!! Wow.
  10. I want to say I remember someone saying Club Med in Cancun had a course. I know its not either of the cities above but Playa Del Carmen has a site called Mayan Water Complex. Its a cable park along with a lake that runs for slalom.
  11. I have some Radar skis for sale if anyone is interested. I figured I'd post them here before I sit on them through the winter and use them next summer. 2023 65" Radar Vapor Pro Build- Black. The above is on skiitagain: https://ski-it-again.com/php/skiitagain.php?endless=summer&topic=Search&category=Slalom&postid=65396 2022 68" Radar Vapor pro Build- Black. Demo ski with a total of 20 sets on it. I'll pay shipping. Please DM me for price or pics on 2022. Thanks for looking!
  12. @disland I think it is, but @The_Krista will have a better answer. I do know those two things are led by Aarne Clow though.
  13. @IndyTim I'd definitely recommend going to a 65" in the future when you get a chance. Since the senates are wider than the vapor they can handle a bit more height/weight just like @bikesrus was saying above.
  14. @Billbert Awesome to hear it worked out and things are feeling great!! Yeah changing bindings is always way tougher than just changing skis. Totally understand the time to get used to everything. Always feel free to reach out if you have anymore questions!
  15. Can't say enough good things about that boat!! She's a good one! Taken a lot of sets behind it!

  17. I'll bite. When you run a good pass it feels effortless, if you're riding the right line the boat does all the work because you're riding the swing perfectly. Every turn the same; in and out with speed, every wake crossing the same. Even the sound of the motor hum is the same on every pull. I ran a 38 behind @rico a couple of weeks ago and I told him that was one of the best passes I ever ran in my life of any line lengths. The above was the things I felt came to mind.
  18. @C5Quest Awesome to hear you got the 23! Yeah I would honestly just run those same exact numbers above if anything they will feel better with the softer tip! I’m running the same numbers on 23!
  19. @Billbert stock is: 31.25 6.940 2.460 .765 9 If it doesn’t feel good I’d go back before Id go forward. Going forward with the boots locks the tail, going back let’s the tail slide.
  20. @Billbert Where are you measuring from? ON the new vapor boot when you measure make sure its from the base of the boot where it meets the plate. That's what our stock settings are off of.
  21. @Broussard Will have your answer for sure!
  22. Such a cool story @jhughes!! I was fortunate to be able to go one year and compete I think 2015. What a unreal feeling getting to ski right next to the city. I remember skiing early in the morning, it was pretty cool out. The lagoon was Shallow, and had a pretty quick setup but it was an awesome experience. One of the coolest sites they had as a pro stop back then no doubt.
