Had the 6.0 in my old truck, great power and would run on anything, not to mention bullet proof.

@slow not to hijack the thread, but are you using any sort of release mechanism? Looking at the new boot, but I don't use MOB or Reflex or anything and afraid I wouldn't come out in a fall

I was thinking about this this morning. I am skiing reasonably well right now on my 22 Vapor. Probably not by most here's standards, but making my 34/15 about 80% of the time, flirting with 2-3 balls at 22 off. My next tournament is over labor day. So when do YOU change your settings? Beginning of the season, end of the season, if you are in a slump?

Are we just going to skip over the fact that that is a really cool color scheme?!?! Never in a million years would I spec a boat like that on the website, but then you see something like that and WOW! I don't know how it works in that boat, but the 6.0 is just such a great engine. Very respectable numbers and will run on low octane...not that I would ever do such a thing....

I told the wife I was going to need to get the Vapor in Blue (I already have the white), she said no because I already have the same ski, just in white. To which I brought up why she needed so many purses. TL;DR I am not getting the blue one.

My son just completed his first 3 event tournament, and needs to actually buy his own jumpers as the 'clubs' jumpers aren't always available. Are there any places other than ski it again I should look for a pair of 176's?

I went the other way, 66 on my 2017, 67 on my 22. The ski turning so fast, easily, and effortlessly has me not regretting going up to a 67 at all. 5-7. 165

I found this format FAR and away the most interesting. Kind of weird they don't do the back and forth for the final.

This statement makes me believe it is a grounding issue/ battery issue. I just added the zbox to my Gekko, it makes a good pull great.

I noticed there haven't been a lot of rerides lately in tournaments... would this be in tolerance or out?

I have a 2002 GTO, I actually think the materials they used were every bit as good as the similar year Mastercrafts I have compared it against. When I went to have a couple seats redone 2 years ago the upholsterer was impressed with the vinyl they used. As @6balls said, there are a couple tweaks I would make to the boat if I was building one today. You have to be very careful not to take water over the front or back...fine for private lake...NOT fine for public. Tweak the wake a little bit, and change the cup holder for the driver :) The price point boats are a really tough sell, if you are looking to save money, you are probably going to buy a name you know used because you are taking a gamble wondering if the company will still be around to do warranty work. It is a shame the Gekko didn't last, and I would LOVE to try one of the newer releases with zero off and the 6.2, but the real shame is that Overbye isn't involved. Very few instances have I had the kind of customer service he provided and that was for a used boat.
