  1. How do they manage to crush so many sportubes and leave the rest of plastic suitcases intact? I'm afraid it is too many wakeboarders are handling our luggage in airports.
  2. When I carry ski in soft bag, couple of first skiing days I feel a bit uncomfortable, suspecting airports staff with all possible sins. Because ski obviously behaves not as expected! Third day its gone and I relax ))
  3. Thanks all who responded! In fact reflex option is probably the good direction to move, but I'm afraid that at the moment it looks as a bit overstatement for me - I just free ski, no short rope slalom, same like in winter time in Alps ... just fun )) How difficult is to detach boot mounted on dual lock? Does it need any instrument? @skialex what is "self locking nuts" in this context and how to use this?
  4. @oldjeep agree with you. I have # 2 and when I use it I bump into another pain: # 1 fits to any car, even compact one, whereas # 2 always needs bigger car.
  5. Hello everyone. I need to mount/unmount front boot every time I travel, because ski with boot does not fit to my sportube 1. Would it make sense to use velcro instead of screws? How many mount/unmount cycles it can stand and how easy it is in use? Last time I destroyed head on one screw in rush 30 minutes before leaving to airport and had terribly hard time )) Since then thinking about screw-less system! Could you give an advise?
  6. Cold water is just a cold water. We should not make it more complicated...
  7. In the same situation, few years ago after injury, my choice was spin-bike. Using LeMond Revmaster Pro http://www.lemondfitness.com/sites/lemond/upload/products/3-large-lg.jpg?1260493387 1Mil % reliable, needs nearly zero maintenance ( just few drops of oil to leather brake pad a week) Minimum electronics, also could be used in 100% mechanical mode -all you need is heart beats monitor (smartwatch eliminate this issue  ). Before I got electronics block I used Mavic velo comp for cadence control. Yes, I may by not cheap stuff, but u get absolutely immortal device that may by used for ages.

  9. Poor me, I dont have Camaro. Just anoter simple wetsuit. I also have some trics to make it warmer: if water/air go uncomfortably cold I put on warm running suit (tights and top) underneath wetsuit. It kills two rabbits in one shot - extreamly warm and easy to put it on.
  10. @jetpilotg4 it should count as 33, because you get 10% bonus as a returning customer.
  11. Dozen of years back my training routine included 18-20 with 20 kilos weight on my belt (using weight lifting straps for secured grip). Since then even the idea to come closer to high bar makes me sick. Currently - only low weight/high repetition training.
  12. It would work better if we mount this device on aquaplane and will exhercise behind the boat. )
  13. Youtube has a prety powerful stabilisation tools for shaky video. It is not a solution for iphone, but at least it is a way to have a better vid.
  14. From my low level in this sport cannot get deep into technical details. Simply amaized how the whole edge of the ski is kept in the water.
  15. Sometimes, few rides on high level ski imediatelly shows all bad habbits gained on the more forgiving ski.
  16. @TallSkinnyGuy very nice survey, in any sport we amateurs often uprgade our equip to the level which we cannot handle. There are lot of pro & contra for going one level down. It is very personal. I am very beginer, only free skiing. I upgraded my HO Triumph to Goode XT and felt as you say like on banana peel. Little by little I got used for new ski and started to have fun of its agility. Couple weeks later I decided to go back to Thiumph just to compare skis. It felt increadibly stable, like on solid ground. And I had... a hardest fall in my ski life (it is on my pic.). Old ski made me too relaxed and over confident. Sinse then I put Thiumph in far corner and ski only XT, trying to do best. In my humble opinion if we climbed on our highest heel, the next our target should be another higher heel... Not like powerlifter who removed few kilos from his barbell and enjoys ease of life )
  17. Awesome app! When my wife is a copilot in the boat I asked her to make few videos. She always forgot to switch camera on. Now I put wakeye app in automatic mode and tell - honey! do nothing, just look at me through Iphone. End of session I have all what I supposed to get )))
  18. Little offtopic... Is it possible to make sitting dock start in two boots?
  19. What do you think about neoprene suits for triatlon? Looks like second skin and very hi-tech. Unfortunately here cannot see and touch it "in the flesh"
  20. How to make horse riding popular in teenagers community? No answer. How to make Porsche Carrera popular in University Campus? No answer. Etc.. Price of entrance ticket to the world of water skiing is too high, imo. Not only about money, it is also about phisical and mental capacity of new candidates. Who is ready to make dozens of fails on the water start? 90% of folks just give in after one-two days of trying saying to themselves - "well, this sport is probably not my piece of cake" Only few are motivated enough to go through "entrance period"
  21. Besides issues of skiing technique... which Im not competent at all.... Such a lovely morning, sunrise and water like a mirror ..... very nice shooting point & very nice video. Take five!
  22. My skiing progress and in general information about all what going on in water ski department, by 50% or more depends on info shared on this forum. So I do not mind to receive even a massive spam from here. Go on )))
  23. Which foot is our front foot is probably has more connection with our brain setup which is conncted to what we received from parents. I kick the ball with my right foot and Im LFF. My friend hits the ball with same leg but he is RFF. Whereas advise to push rear foot down during start is very much opposing to what I hear during my short water ski experience. When I do this tail of the ski starts plowing the water creating resistance which make deep water start nearly impossible. So I try to keep rear leg as close to butt as possible. Although, in the second phase of start, when ski is alpeady in the plane mode I use both legs to stand up. IMO.
  24. Believe me or not. I know the guy who pulls MC190 with Nisan Almera )))
