  1. @Brewski can"t talk me out of my In-Tow Handle. That handle has more than 250 sets on it in the warm FL water
  2. I’m pretty good at checking my equipment but for some reason I had not looked at the handle itself The rope is in good shape. I bought some new stealth gloves at nationals and when I tried them my hands kinda hurt. The handle felt small with the gloves went back to my old gloves I guess they have a little more padding I then look at my handle and my handles wore out. I’ve since order a new handle will be here next week. I guess using Kevlar gloves wears out the handle faster now I know to keep an eye on it not sure if you can see how warn it is in the pictures
  3. @Chef23 For the % of people on BOS that run a 35 off click the home button and check out 2018 reader survey. @MickeyThompson I joined BOS in 2014. Started skiing in 2013 after not skiing for 14 years there was a thread at that time that talked about buying a high end ski or a crossover ski if you were working on skiing the course. It got my attention because I was looking to replace my 20 year old ski. At that time consensus was to go with the high end skies sense they were made for the skiing the course. I did demo lower or so called free skies and crossover skies. But I always felt that the high end skies turned and worked better for me. 2014 and 14 years earlier I was skiing 15 off. I know that crossover skies have improved over the last few years, It just seams odd to buy a lower end ski then year or two later buy another more advanced ski, Just my opinion
  4. Spoke with Parrish he was on a 67" Omega and really liked it, but was exited to try the 68" when it was released
  5. My GF and I have had the opportunity this year to ski behind 2017 MC, 2018 200 CC, 2019 SN CC, our 2008 196 CC, 1991 196 CC, 2015 Carbon Pro, 2018 TXI Malibu. She skies the mini course 15-28 off at 26 and 28 MPH. She says the Malibu had the smallest wakes and easiest to ski behind. Second is the 91 196 from there everything felt about the same to her. Hope that helps. Also some can be more challenging to drive through the course especially at slower speeds and some have little interior space.
  6. Not common to see an electric fuel pump on a boat. @Orlando76 they have been making electric fuel pumps for carburetors for over 50 years, that are self regulated under 7psi
  7. @skimtb has a great ski, bought one for my GF after skiing on combo's I put her on a 65 TX easy for her to get up on. In one year she is up to 28.7 mph and skies 28 off through the mini courses. She now working on the red buoys
  8. Again ,Pull the pickup tube out of the gas tank clean the small screen on the end of the tube. It's starving for fuel, if the screen is not on the end some boats have it inside the tube. You will have to unscrew it from the 90 degree elbow and pull it out and clean. Dead revving it on the trailer it will probably run fine under load it needs more fuel.
  9. Pull the pickup tube out of the gas tank clean the small screen on the end of the tube.
  10. Found these gloves at the performance Tent feel awesome can’t wait to ski with them tomorrow
  11. Oops now you might recognize this guy
  12. Just a few pictures of some vendors and you might recognize one guy
  13. Nobody should ever complain again men’s 11 91 years old running the course
  14. I am on a ski I bought from SIA after demoing several skies for less than half the price of new In the past I have bought new, with all the slightly used skies for sale it does not make make since to buy new at my level. After 2 years being stuck not improving I started taking lessons and have gone from running my 28 off's 5% of the time if that to 75% and running 3 at 32 off. I would find a ski you feel comfortable on and take some lessons. My first lesson 2 tips had me running my 28's and early and easy 22 offs. So no i will not spend $1500 or more for a ski I am happy with my $600 NRG
  15. I will be there Wednesday and Thursday will post some Pictures
  16. Skied with the rope today it only had a few sets on it just, felt like any other new rope. I skied the same, I ski with a year old In-Tow
  17. Every couple weeks I dunk my vest, gloves, rope and boots in my chlorine pool, keeps the stink from getting out of control. I don't think it would work as good in a salt water pool
  18. Were on the main lake are the vendors setting up? Is the main lake were Slalom takes place or is it scattered? Do the vendors have demo rides for their skies? I was at a Pro-Am a few years back and they did that. I am going to watch and check out the vendors, most likely will part with some cash
  19. I know you have heard this before but at 32 mph you have to be more progressive with your pull after the finish of your turn. This will also make it possible to keep on edge through the 22off bump. When you turn and burn you have to much speed coming into the wakes making you come of edge while hitting the the bump. 28 off and shorter your in front of the bump and you can getaway with turning and burning to a point, just remember your ski is deeper in the water and you will experience more load compared to 34mph out of the buoy. Some have found going up a letter on ZO helps if your loading out of the buoy. I would stay on the ski your comfortable with. I ski a lot of 22off's at 32mph behind an 08 196 and a 2018 200 and I ski the same behind both. I actually can not tell any difference 22-32off between the two
  20. New vest, ropes, gloves, repair parts for boots - Lacing, BOA kits. Have an AC under your tent and they will come :)
  21. I had moved down to A2 it worked great, changed to a new ski and I kept falling on the tail finishing my turn moved to B2 it fixed that problem. The setting was changed with out me knowing till afterwords
  22. 89 Orlando, the rain has kept my lake under 90
