  1. There is a similar thread you may want to read.
  2. @Horton why the bump? Are you still having doubts about which foot forward your daughter should have or is it something else? Reading this whole thread now, I thought you were at peace with LFF.
  3. Snow or water ski equipment is treated differently than regular luggage, as someone has already noted earlier in this thread. Pre-covid, I've flown with my snow skis many times to Utah and Colorado (last time in March 2020, right before everything got shut down) and once (in Dec 2019) with my water ski to Orlando. No issues, no fees, no hassle. Mostly with Delta and Jet Blue, but also with United and Southwest.
  4. Given all we have been dealing with, covid escape!
  5. Perfect skiing weather, @ALPJr! I mean, snow skiing weather!
  6. I don't know, Jay. What is this thing, Jay? Is it a , Jay?
  7. I did a google search for "water ski on fire." Several results seem to stem from a revised edition of the International Classification of Diseases, the site cited by @dchristman, back in 2015. So, just like the old saying "there is an app for that," there is a (medical) code for that!
  8. Do you think I should have bought the pink version of this R2 to go with my shorts?
  9. Welcome to the addiction! For non-brand new gear, you can check Ski-It-Again. For ski size, check out the charts different manufacturers have on their sites.
  10. Since you seem to be based in UK, calling perfski might not work for you. If all you need is a couple more millimetres, you could try stretching the boot with a wooden block or similar wedge.
  11. The ice is gone. Ski season is around the corner. Current water temperature: in the high 30's. And that's in Fahrenheit degrees!
  12. Time to try a new setup, @ALPJr
  13. @gschorr I think you have a bit too much wing angle and you might want to play with less DFT too...
  14. @Clydesdale yes, that's what I was thinking, similarly to the ergonomic keyboards that help prevent getting carpal tunnel syndrome in your wrists. Hanging onto the handle might be different than dealing with wrists, though, because, when you have the handle nice and tight, close to your hips with straight arms, I don't see much of a change in joint angles with a 12" vs 13". But I may be wrong, hence I wanted to ask here.
  15. @75Tique I'd love to see what led to this pose...
  16. Do you guys think that 12" vs 13" makes a difference in regards to elbow pain?
  17. Regarding my previous post: I was kidding. I am not sure if a waterskiing site is the place for investment advice, as this thread is trending to become... That's what promped to comment on GME...
  18. If you want a sure winner, get on the GME band wagon!
  19. I am a size 11 street shoe and originally was recommended a size 11 Carbitex. This was in 2019. I could barely force my foot in there. I returned it and exchanged it for a size 12 which fits just right. I have not heat molded the liner. If the fit is snug without insoles, you might be ok after heat molding the liner. The insoles should be to make up for any slack, but since you don't have any, you should be ok without them.
  20. The snow is starting to melt in MA, but there is still plenty for some "footing"!
  21. Translation: I think this is a good year to be an Austrian skier. Not sure if he is playing with the confusion some people have between Austrians and Australians, but my bet is that he is...
  22. @Than_Bogan I noticed that too and posted a comment about it in this thread. I think that signature is there only for posts from ROBOT but I may be wrong. We are in very nerdy territory...
  23. Nice boat. I especially like these specs:  Horsepower: 0 Trailer Length: 0 ft 0 in
  24. She is awesome. After I found of hers, all I could say is... amazing!
