  1. I think I might have a set later today. Water still 64°, air supposed to go up to 76°. ? For now I’m enjoying the view while having breakfast.
  2. @mike_mapple will get you set up. You just have to find a place where to test your ski(s) @lpskier comes to mind, just 22 minutes from @perfski.
  3. I personally would put all 6 in, no matter how “solid” it feels.
  4. Thanks, @EFW. Andre already confirmed what I vaguely remembered being told by Brooks.A size 8 boot should fit my size 8 Reflex plate.
  5. She made it! ? https://www.baytoday.ca/local-news/you-voted-and-jaimee-bull-is-your-sports-story-of-the-year-winner-4931469?fbclid=IwAR0BzJLk8gC3cl4mqDTbiagAMFs6f5UtgKFpHUpWaBwKAl9agsbDyfaBB6w
  6. Would like that.Anonymous dislikes are the worst. If you dislike or WTF something at least be a man about it and stand behind it.
  7. @EFW Can you share your insights here? I’m in the same situation as @skialex and people seem reluctant to post something about this boot with the reflex release here for whatever reason. At worlds they had the new boots on display and also the different plates, including the one with the reflex release. Spoke to Brooks at his booth and he showed me the Radar Silvretta plate which was basically identical to the Reflex plate but had a few more (adjustment) holes drilled where the release mechanism is mounted to the plate. He said that the boot would work with my reflex plate no problem. But also mentioned something about the right sizing, but I can’t remember all the details. BTW - He was pretty open about it, not secretive at all.
  8. Selling my 2021 D3 Ion 66” Excellent condition with about 30 sets on it. A few very minor scratches, no handle dings or other damage. Asking $850

  10. For sale: Camaro Blacktec neo top 1.5, size L Got it as a Christmas present and unfortunately it’s the wrong size for me. I just skied a set with it and figured I need a medium. ? https://www.miamiskinautiques.com/Camaro-Blacktec-Thermo-Top-15mm-p/camaro-blacktec-thermotop-1.5.htm New condition, skied for one set. Asking $125 Don’t know why the tag reads 1.0, but it’s a 1.5 top
  11. Go for the large. I’m 179/95/86/96 and the medium fits me perfect
  12. I love it! Faster than my 2021 D3 Ion. More stable and predictable than my 2020 Denali c75. Reminds me a lot of my 2019 Connelly GTR, nimble, quick, but feels a lot easier on the body.

    H@LY SH!T!

Yup, that’s exactly the reason why I don’t use aluminum hitches. Breaks right off without any forewarning.
  14. The Touchless Covers are really nice and well made, but being north of $5k are quite the investment. It’s a nice feature to be able to simply push a button on the remote to raise them, climb into your boat, and you are ready to go in a matter of minutes. However - with the boat being completely open inside the cover, you have spiders, bugs, and sometimes birds leaving their mess inside the boat. Not to speak of pollen who are present in this area almost year round. We have (or had) 3 boat lifts with touchless covers on our lake. In 2017 hurricane Irma blew directly over our lake in Clermont and took two of the covers down and left them beyond repair. Most common setups on our lake are boat houses and waterline covers on the boats. Mostly Tumacs by Skip @Xpropman who seems to be the go to guy here. I just ordered myself one for Christmas, but didn’t need the waterline feature, as my portable lift has a canopy with side curtains to keep the boat completely protected from sunlight. But - I put a cover on the boat anyway to keep the dirt and bug-/spider- mess out.
  15. Like @LoopSki said - mostly matter of preference. I’m an old school guy with most of the things, but prefer fiberglass platforms over the teak option. I don’t think the fiberglass is as bad as @BraceMaker describes it. In fact it is easier to maintain and won’t scratch your ski when you put it on on the platform. At some point you might need to replace the padding because it will show some wear but that’s an easy task. BTW - Owned two boats with teak platform and now my 2nd one with the fiberglass swim step. Won’t go back to wood. Ever.

  17. @ScottScott Yes, I have two Eagle vests and a Stokes Evo (1st edition) and that one had noticeable more flotation than the Eagles. If I remember correctly the Evo2 was advertised as having even better flotation. Tom Asher @ Stokesskis would know more. Can’t say anything about modern O’Neills - it’s been a while since I used their older style pullover vests.
  18. One term stuck with me there. It was in one of my coaching sessions I had with Austin Abel a few years ago. - “Closing the door” Made a huge difference to my skiing. That’s basically what Rob is promoting in his video.
  19. Well … Looks like the world is coming to an end shortly, I’m afraid.
  20. #Freebritney - get her off her Reflex release
  21. In my opinion you can’t go wrong with the Radar Vector boots. Laced open toe bindings and they come in a variety of rear boot options RTP (kicker), HRT (half-boot) or you go the double boot route. They are great for beginners but also good enough to run the course at shorter line lengths which might be your goal sooner than you think.
  22. @scuppers LOL yeah, I meant that. Of course. ?
  23. @lpskier Same here. Never had any elbow issues in 20 Years of skiing. Switched to a GTR early last season, really loved that ski, skied PB after PB on it and developed skiers elbow after a few months on it. Switched skis again a few times but the damn elbow pain stuck with me. Bummer. It won’t go away no matter what I do now. I switch between handles (bent and straight), went one size up in diameter, then another, had multiple sessions with my chiropractor, always start both palms down now, do exercises and all. Only remedy is not to ski. Which is of course not acceptable. Guess I have to live with it.
