  1. If you plan on doing the shaft log conversion which I’d recommend because it will be a once and forever fix, you can get the boat water ready for the remainder of your season in a day or two. (Depending on drying time of whatever caulk you are using.) it will be a temporary fix but will allow for boat usage till the end of the season. Open the HDS lid, let everything dry out thoroughly, caulk all the way around the inside bottom of the HDS box and put the lid back on using marine silicone. *edit* Don’t use silicone inside the box. It will screw up any later repair.
  2. Thanks for an AMAZING webcast!!! Very, very well done @TonyLightfoot and all the crew. Was fun to watch on-site as well as on-line!
  3. I try to keep it under 50%. Above that I can feel the wake increases, especially at -22/55k.
  4. Thanks @savaiusini, no problem! And thanks @mike_mapple, will do. :)
  5. Any update on availability? @perfski @savaiusini I just checked online - nothing to be found.
  6. @Mzimmer75 To be honest, I have no clue. Ran it WOT just twice and didn’t recall the RPM. Only thing I know, it is a slow boat/hull with higher RPMs than what I was used to with our Response. Top end was slightly above 43mph (with the hydrogate deployed) and at slalom speed (34) the engine turns around 3650 which is again way higher than our old Response.
  7. @skierjp I have the 6 Liter engine. We are at about sea level here in FL and the 668 works just fine. A bit weak out of the hole compared to my Response, but that’s ok. I tried a 422 earlier this year but other than about 200rpms more the holeshot didn’t improve much, so I went back to the original prop.
  8. Impatiently waiting for a C75. Should be here this week. Hopefully.
  9. Yeah, that’s the plan, but I need a spare nonetheless.
  10. Looking for a replacement prop for our SN 200. Hit a submerged piece of wood today and dinged the original 668. I’d like to stay with the 668 and before I order a new one, I thought I would just ask here. Maybe someone has one laying around and wants to get rid of it? Thanks!
  11. Link for today’s webcast: Event starts at 9am EST
  12. Great webcast! Thanks @TonyLightfoot and Wade! Looking forward for tomorrow’s broadcast. :)
  13. Not a pre-release, but I figured today why my skiing sucked the last week. :D I usually leave the liner in the boot when I take it off, so I didn’t noticed the broken rivet. For some reason I took the liner out today and the cuff came completely apart on one side. New boot on order, guess I’ll have a couple days off now.
  14. Travers Grand Prix - Prelims today! Event starts at 10am EST. Thanks to TWBC!
  15. Changing ZO setting could help. Sounds to me that it would be beneficial for you if the pull from the boat came on a little later so you got enough time to establish a good stacked position out of the turn before the boat pulls away.
  16. Not really. My guess - something needed during the manufacturing process. Even some fins come with a horizontal line printed on/etched in. Meaningless as well...
  17. Nope, never go off these marks! Always use a caliper to set your fin.
  18. Yup, on my iPad with the Safari browser as well. I can work around it if I change the font size to 75%.
  19. @jjackkrash Check out Joel Howley‘s YouTube channel. There are a couple videos of skiers testing the DV8. Funniest of all is Greg trying out the square tail piece. Seems not to like it. :D As a side note - I found it interesting (aka telling) that Manon skied on her 2018 GT at the Malibu Open.

  21. And on Malibucrew, Planet Nautique, ....
  22. I’m gonna be a smart as here. :D @Horton https://www.ballofspray.com/forum#/discussion/24275/keeping-ballofspray-on-focus
