  1. If anyone is interested in permanently skiing in central Texas I have 3 properties listed for sale at San Marcos River Ranch and 1 at Austin Aquaplex. Great ski sites, great people, good climate, culture and economy. You can hardly beat it! Shoot me a DM if you're interested in hearing more!
  2. Yup. What @stxskier said. @Broussard
  3. Check out the Coolibar clothing line. I own a few of their long sleeve shirts and live where its 100 degrees and humid. Their stuff is comfortable, looks good and works.
  4. @Horton how about a full 2 ski trick pass finished with a 2 ski flip?
  5. Manon 3rd in woman's. Asher 2nd and Neveau 3rd mens
  6. I missed the runoff in the men's final. How did it turn out?
  7. Check out this beautiful residential home site at San Marcos River Ranch. Its the best priced waterfront lot in the development! Ideally located near San Marcos TX, in between Austin and San Antonio. The community is very active and fun! Send me a DM for more details.
  8. @ToddF there isn't any slalom courses that I know of. Buchanon is such a large and open basin and its not constant level. The water dropped dramatically during the drought about 5 years ago rendering most boat ramps unusable. Just below Lake Buchanon is Lake LBJ. There is a slalom course on Lake LBJ and its constant level and the conditions are usually better. I saw the chair lift mountain bike park too. Looks cool. Cheers!
  9. I thought Whitney's pass at 39 off was defining of the fine line between the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat. Pato font, 16 years old. He and pickos were amazing. I was stunned when Asher blew out the tail and entertained by Winter's celebration. Life is emotional and unpredictable. Jacinta is the most dominant skier in one event in the world. Freddy Krueger is almost able to compete in men's 4 and pushed Dodd to the limit. Freddy and although he didn't compete in the masters, Scot, are forever young.
  10. What are the feats, athleticism, sportsmanship that made you say Wow?
  11. I stuck with her. She's just too tough and too much of a champion.
  12. So did they do the right thing and next man up for Jon Travers?
  13. Waterskiresults.com is working for ne tonight. I just scrolled through the jump results. I realize that the vast majority of members on this site are focused on slalom skiing, but I want to mention Jacinta Carroll is probably the most dominant skier in one specific event (although she slaloms and tricks too) of all time. She jumped 198 feet and her top competitors just cracked 170. She's in a league of her own.
  14. I believe Jamie Bull made the qualifying score. Dodd posted the first 240' jump of the season and a collegiate skier, Danylo, set an U21 world record with a leap of 228'. That's awesome to see a young jumper getting it out there! We need more of that!
  15. There was the W.O.W. (women of waterskiing) tour in the 90s with televised tour stops. Unique format of team competition by boat brand sponsorship. They competed on all 3 events. Many of the sponsors were women oriented products.
  16. I saw that Allie Nickelson (not sure on spelling) made it too. I think there was some tricking today too, don't know about jump. Any other notable performances? Congrats to Pigosi and Allie for punching their tickets to the show!
  17. I think #3 started as his best gate shot, starting higher on the boat and progressively building angle. The turns at 1 and 2 look better on #4. Its a matter of staying balanced and focused and putting it all together. Stay in the zone. Whether for you its focusing on every detail and aspect or simply letting go and letting it happen. He's a really good skier!
  18. I missed a great deal of the skiing this afternoon. Does anyone know a link to the final results? I think that was the best webcast I've ever seen at a ski tournament. Congrats Tony lightfoot and crew. Good job!
  19. @Horton yeah, I had him too. I do want to add that the webcast is excellent. Lots of cameras, Lightfoot is more subdued and some post skiing interviews. Pigosi has balls. First skier to start at 35 off. Impressive.
  20. @Bruce_Butterfield yes, I subscribe to the theory that it's the Indian more than the arrow. Yet, there is so much excitement about "arrows " I got curious.... I find it interesting that one top skier, a world champ, isnt sponsored publicly by the ski he rides on.
  21. @aussiemc thank you. I find this interesting. The D3 website has no mention of Freddie Winter on their list of sponsored skiers. For the top 10 on your list looks like 2 D3, 2 Connelly, 2 HO, 2 Goode, 1 Reflex and 1 Radar. Right? What major ski brands are unrepresented on this list?
  22. There is a lot of excitement about the new Denali in another thread. Innovation and competition is great for our sport! Yet it made me wonder what brand and model ski are the top 10 skiers in the world using?
  23. @lhoover I took my 7 yr old to the Lakes of Katy too for the Nautique Swerve event. We drove in from New Braunfels on Saturday. My kid had an absolute blast and Whitney was so kind and patient with her. I hadn't been in a new Nautique before then. Interesting boat, it needs to grow on me. Overall it was an awesome time at a great ski community. Big thanks to the Kelm family for hosting and to Whitney for her enthusiasm and coaching! It was a great weekend for us!
  24. Thank you guys for tackling the tough topics. There is such limited news in our sport these days and so much rumor that your site and these video pod casts have become one of the few places to get reliable information. Kuddos for not delving into the web of rumors and keeping it classy. Seems like most big news sources can learn something from @Horton and @TFIN!
