  1. Bernie driving the boat....I just spit out water laughing out loud at that. Thanks @B_S, you made my morning!
  2. Plenty of spills and thrills. I was really surprised by the cattails that were where the jumpers pull out to the 600' bouy. Regina caught a tip on them and completely ate it. They probably could have trimmed them back. IDK. I've never skied Trophy Lake...overall I really enjoyed the webcast. Big thanks to everyone who made it all happen!
  3. Wade Cox pulling the Booger McFarland/Tony Saragusa interviewer role. Nice!
  4. Mexican ingenuity. This is at Valle de Bravo, which has a thriving waterski community. It looks like Arturo Nelson is involved. He's a very good all around skier and his kids are great skiers too. When I lived in Mexico in the 90s I got to ski at Aqua Ski, at Tequesquitengo and at Acapulco and I saw several boats that were one-off variations of Nautiques or Mastercrafts or some combination as such. They didn't have the fit and finish of a factory produced boat in the US but they definitely got the job done.
  5. Interesting list of awsa approved tow boats over the years. There was such a variety of manufacturers back in the day! Tournament approved outbound tow boat (Glastron Ski Machine) and tournament approved I/O (Ski Pro). I skied behind both of those often in my youth on Lake McQueeney. Boy, did they suck! But, the Ski Machine is sorta retro cool though.
  6. @skidawg if you are going to the Fayetteville area, it's an outdoor paradise with the Buffalo River and Devil's Den State Park. Where are you gonna ski up there?
  7. @tmolinaro those are some great looking designs heading to Australia! Just curious, what is the shipping process from the factory in the US down to Australia and how much more does a US built boat cost down there compared to in the US?
  8. @Horton that's an interesting documentary. Thanks for sharing it. I drove down the eastern side of the Salton Sea a few times when I lived in Ojai to see my brother who was stationed at the Marine airbase in Yuma. I found it fascinating and strange. It smelled and I remember just keeping the gas pedal on the floor while imagining the 1960s recreation around there. It was all ruins and mobile homes and desert with this big flat body of water framed by mountains. Depressing but kinda pretty from the right angles. Weird area for sure.
  9. That's some excellent analysis. Trent's experience really shows in how he pinpointed one key concept throughout.
  10. Also 12415 Aquaplex Drive is off the market. The owner has been teaching his kids how to slalom and now they want to learn to ski through the slalom course. So he decided to hold onto the property for now. It's always great news when we hear about new skiers coming into the sport!
  11. PRICE REDUCTION! 909 River Ranch Circle in San Marcos River Ranch is now available for $162,500! Featuring 1.33 acres and over 200 linear feet of lake frontage and over 200 feet of width at the road, this is a fantastic opportunity for the right water skier or ski family. Email me at travissellsproperty@gmail.com for specifics.
  12. Sounds like a fun trip. Wondering if you'd want to head south from Shreveport to hit Bennett's Ski School in Zachary LA and then head east from there and hit Pickos Ski School just after you cross into FL...you can get sets AND some coaching at both and soak up the vibe of being around some great skiers and people.
  13. I thought having a weighted boat for tricks was to get the biggest person you can find and train them to pull pin.
  14. I'm impressed by the showing of personal accountability. That seems to be pretty rare these days. Thanks for sharing your insight.
  15. @epnault shoot me an email at travissellsproperty@gmail.com and I can send you some details in a response. Thanks!

  17. I had a short line graphite and the short line 2. I loved both of those skis. I learned the course on the first one and ran 28 off @36 mph in a tournament on the second one. Thanks for the memories @dazarovitz !
  18. Medina Lake and Canyon Lake are non-constant level reservoirs near San Antonio. The Guadalupe Valley lakes - Dunlap (dry at this time due to dam failure), McQueeney and Placid are near Seguin and New Braunfels. They are public water with no slalom courses at this time. Private sites with slalom courses include Guadalupe Ski Plex in Zorn and San Marcos River Ranch in Martindale, both reachable from San Antonio. Check out Ski It Again, I saw someone at SMRR is leasing their ski rights. You might want to contact that individual. If you want to ensure great skiing at a private site like SMRR, feel free to DM me about properties listed for sale there.
  19. I thought you broke the 200 ft barrier jumping!?‍♂️
