  1. @Ed_Johnson have him check Ski It Again. There's a listing at Ski Texas that appears to be a good value. If your friend needs a Texas agent to represent him, he can email me at travissellsproperty@gmail.com
  2. If you subscribed to 3 magazines: The Waterskier, Spray and World Waterski
  3. You know how to read meters and hang a stopwatch along the side of the boat. Bonus points if your favorite handle was a Performer.
  4. @Horton overall, lack of proof from our generation's teens and 20s is probably for the best. 😎
  5. @jgills88 nice article about jumping, thanks for the share. Jumping always was and always will be my favorite event. I haven't been over a ramp in a few years and haven't flown far in many years but there is no sensation that comes close! Although this is primarily a slalom skier's website, @Horton is gracious enough to entertain some jump and trick threads in these forums. Probably because he was a pretty darn good jumper himself.
  6. Just finished this. It's truly superb! It is a love letter to the sport and would make an interesting time capsule to be viewed 25 years in the future to benchmark where the sport has gone since...up? down? You really must appreciate the dedication and commitment of not only the athletes but also all the volunteers, organizers and the team at TWBC. I'm really impressed!
  7. https://www.neso.com/collections/sidelines-series I've used this product for years. Easy for one person to set up and break down. Very durable too.
  8. @Wish I recently contacted Stokes about jumpers. Unfortunately, they stopped making them.
  9. @SlalomSteve I noticed that too. The green color and the white foam that never dissipated on either side of the boat path.
  10. Team USA hasn't won team gold at the Elite Worlds in a while and here, the U21 Team brought home gold to the U.S. Is that common or an indication of some great young talent in the US? Other observations: Charlie Ross is pretty phenomenal AnneMarie W's 38-off was crazy good to watch. Will Robert's crash on the last jump of the tournament was nuts. Kennedy Hanson is a great talent. There is a lot of young talent in the sport. Hope they stick around the sport!
  11. Any impressions from the U21 Worlds?
  12. @ForrestGump any Exocet jumpers on McQueeney in your time? I've never seen any in the wild myself.
  13. Bennett's Ski School in Zachary Louisiana does a great job with beginners!
  14. My kid and I are on our way right now...eating Po Boys in Jennings, LA. Hope to see some old ski friends and meet a few new friends at Night Jam tomorrow!
  15. Beautiful boat. I bet it'll sell fast!
  16. I thought Winters ran 5 at 41 both rounds. Admittedly, I got distracted (by work, darn it) and missed watching him ski but when I came back around Tony was giving a recap and that's what I thought he said...5 at 41 both rounds...
  17. @SlalomSteve it's a cool account! Who doesn't like drooling over great ski boats??
  18. @disland I think the main reason there are no interviews is that the webcast commentators are also the on-site announcers. They also seem to lack that extra camera man + commentator to facilitate interviews. It comes off feeling more like a "show" than a tournament and i definitely prefer the TWBC broadcasts which opens up the skiers for the audience through interviews, bringing them to the booth for commentary, etc. That said, I think Tyler Boyd does a fine job at the Masters and pairing him with the Australian announcer who does Moomba was an improvement this year.
  19. @VermontSkier that no TP in the Porta potty is bad news for the jumpers particularly. The PJD is a part of the Get Ready process!
  20. @Broussard that confirms my thought that he might have an injury of some sort. Too bad. I like watching him jump.
  21. I honestly don't know how you can ski so consistently on all sorts of different skis. I will say you always seem to get a good, smooth, tight turn on 3 or 5 when you need it. If only your ON side was as ON as your OFF side!
  22. @Broussard thank you. I know you aren't affiliated but I know you are engaged and knowledgeable. Your "news" posts are most appreciated! Some observations: Regina and Paige Rini made it in all 3 events. I miss the old days of overall at The Masters. Dorien Llewellyn qualified in tricks but not jump. Maybe he didn't try. Maybe he has a jump injury... Looks like we will see some first time Masters competitors. There may be some surprises. Keep an eye on Louis Duplan Freeborg in jump and it looks like men's tricks can be wild. Lots of talent there. I'm bummed about Winter being banned but that's between him and the governing body and has been covered extensively in other threads. Turn down the volume and bring it on!
  23. @Broussard do you have the lowdown now that the Sunset Lakes LCQ is done?
