  1. Have had good luck with UShip as well....
  2. That’s a great video, but unless you have the proper form (stack) and get off the tail of the ski (weight forward) it’s not going to happen. Also, you can hear the zero off pulling power when he comes off the ball and loads the line up. With only 90 hp and a heavy boat it will just about stop the boat, or at least seriously pull the ass end around with a hard pull. I’m kinda thinking he just wants to have fun (what a concept) and ski on a bit better/newer ski... He’s not worried about chasing balls, PB’s or short line skiing. Get him on a good stick and the rest will come along with time.
  3. A 69 inch ski would help, you’re right on the edge with your weight. Would make starts a bit easier (a LOT easier) also with the outboard. You’re skiing on the tail of the ski, need to get weight forward. Can’t go wrong with a Radar Butterknife or Katana (would go with The Butterknife, a bit wider and with only 90hp you need all the help you can get. It’s a bit wider (more area=more lift) than the Katana....super easy to ski and very forgiving.
  4. Pro Glass in Northern IL...can make anything and has done boat windshields in the past... PM me and I will hook you up.
  5. Good point @DW easy enough to change the filter also.
  6. Oil pressure issues USUALLY present themselves in the opposite way... Pressure starts high then drops as the engine warms up (all the clearances open up and the oil thins somewhat). Start with the sending unit...guessing that will cure it. An easy change right above the oil filter or back by the distributor. There is also a separate sending unit for the warning system but pretty sure main oil pressure sending unit will cure the issue.
  7. $53 @Sunlight... Person I fly for knows the owner at El Jebel. Working on getting tug there. Will be in Aspen this weekend. @Cnewbert beautiful view! Would love to live there as well, but even waaaay down valley is crazy expensive.
  8. Meh...Aspen Snowmass is where you ski if you need to be seen... Sunlight in Glenwood is where you ski if you want to ski...just say’n
  9. We stay in Glenwood Springs and fly into Rifle frequently. Spied that several years ago. Looks like a great place. Would like to visit it sometime...
  10. Months? Was thinking more like days or weeks...
  11. How about coming out of the Stone Age and demo some post Fred and Wilma skis? Kinda silly to try and ski a 10-20 year old design when the ski tech is literally light years advanced. You will find a much better ski that will get your further into the course and still not break the bank. JMHO.....
  12. What’s your goal? Fun free skiing or course skiing? For fun can’t beat a Radar Butterknife or Katana...
  13. Shouldn’t have any problem selling. Wouldn’t start any less than $7500. My Brendella sold in less that 24 hours.
  14. A slight drift about availability of boats now: my Brendella sold for asking price in less than 24 hours.
  15. I will take the old carb if you’re going to toss it....will pay shipping... Glad you have it back in service.
  16. Who could POSSIBLY dislike this post? WTF...should be ashamed of themselves...
  17. @Dano That’s the look I’m going for... Beautiful boat...classic Centurion lines!
  18. @thager that’s what I was going to do with the Brendella, make some sleeves and rivet everything in place. With the Malibu want to get it right the first time! But, it’s easy enough to modify if need be. Thanks for the input everyone!!
  19. @Timr like that look...what is the height?
  20. Always check the grounds as well...they can cause just as many issues. I always spray everything with the battery terminal spray stuff, and use dielectric grease on everything else.
  21. You can use a razor blade to cut the zip tie tail as well...wish I had a dollar for every time I sliced my hand, finger or wrists working on aircraft engines because mechanics were too lazy to trim the zip ties.
  22. Looking for info on the average height for Bimini tops. Would like to get one for the Malibu. Had one on the SB but thought it was a bit too high. What’s the height (appx) of your Bimini from the top of the gunnel or windshield to the bottom of the Bimini? Please specify if it’s windshield or gunnel. Thanks in advance!
  23. Where the deck meets the windshield on my 88 is different. It’s NOT an 88.

    Brendella

First person to look at my Brendella bought it. I had it on FB and SIA for less than 24 hours. Was a great first DD boat... The Malibu is broken in and runs great.
  25. @Stephen911 Great story...puts some humanization to this site that’s full of OCD peeps fretting about fin settings and other things vs actually having fun skiing (not that being OCD about skiing is bad, especially if you do it for a living) and especially if you frequent this site. Lots of people to help you out. I think the older boats have so much more character...I guess I’m defective that way-I ski for fun, the challenge and physical conditioning.
