    Indeed - there are 5 private lakes within an hour-ish drive; the Willamette is usually good early mornings. As far as quality of skiing on LO itself? ‘If y’ain’t first, might as well go last...’?

    From the observer seat, on a local river, my spidey senses were up as it felt like we were hugging the bank too much (particularly given we were the only boat out) so I commented to Buddy Boy. No more than 7 seconds after he gave me the dismissive wave off...we hit/sideswiped a 14” deadhead just below the surface. No real damage, beyond his emotional scar and poo-soaked shorty. ?

    @OREGON85 Figured you might have discovered them; offered it in case you hadn’t and to encourage a visit even if membership isn’t In your immediate future. Maybe you’ll gain a bit of current local knowledge, maybe find someone to be your guide for a day...for a couple IPA...somebody just may. Good luck!

    Allowing Mr Smith to be a Board member seems ill-advised at the very least; it’s pretty f’ing disrespectful to his victims, and certainly not reflective of the values of an organization I want to be a part of. Character matters. Why is that so hard for some of you?!
