  1. Have not experienced that with three I have skied behind. Pic is worth a thousand words. How about a video to help us help you.
  2. Mechanically, what changes in today's skis to make them ski differently?
  3. @BigGerald3 Is that your neck? How long since surgery? That's a scary xray!!
  4. Veterinarian's input: given the mobility of the cervical spine, and the life threatening ramifications associated with a cervical spine injury, I would stay off a ski for at least 6 months. My understanding is after a fusion, your other vertebra & discs are doing more work/under more stress to compensate for the lost motion at the fusion (physicians please correct if I am wrong).
  5. Don't forget to consider Stokes as well
  6. @wish your daughter needs to apply for a marketing position with the Denali crew!
  7. Maybe the battery could be mounted on an adjustable slide rail so it could be moved a bit forward or back to optimize the wake?
  8. @cougfan I just assumed it was obvious I was great to ski with so no need to mention it in this thread!
  9. This is the boat @cougfan saw at the Seattle Boat Show that has our group thinking about an electric tow boat. It would be perfect for our 2 hour shift at Bow Lake Wed afternoons.
  10. Could probably use it as a bottle opener in an emergency
  11. Why don't you like it? I have the previous lace up design and am just curious. Thanks
  12. @cougfan an electric heater is easy and will be the least of our worries. A hot water shower may be more of a challenge. Maybe propane? And to ski behind an electric boat I can tough it out w/o heat!
  13. Beauty! You did plugs; I would also replace cap, rotor, points/condenser if present, & plug wires. If gas was old get some fuel treatment on board; change fuel filter if not done yet.
  14. I prefer the Mystic (nice gift from my daughter) over the neoprene hood, which I used for years. I can hear better and have less problems with wind getting in around the hood. I also have a nice headband with a draw string (can't find it listed anymore) that I like when it starts to warm up.
  15. @adamcord - Pro tip - buy a really cheap scotch and pour it into an expensive bottle. I have an acquaintance that puts a pretty good dent in my scotch and it works great! (Hopefully @horton won't see this.)
  16. Welcome! What kind of ski activity did you do 20 yrs ago and what were you skiing on?
  17. Isn't that why there's an "off topic" category? And what the heck is the PNW Tree Octopus?? Winter makes you folks all kind of goofy I think.
  18. @cougfan forgot because we had done lunch at Pyramid Alehouse before visiting the Mastercraft display! If I remember they also had the 1st ever Mastercraft there as well?? Cool old Stars & Stripes.
  19. @MuskokaKy - I asked at the show last year. Answer was we only sell a few so not worth taking up the space. If you want one we can order it :(
  20. Check the local paint stores - someone is going to be buying a ton of camouflage colors soon
  21. Wednesday Dinner Club is hitting the Seattle show Jan 29th with mandatory lunch at Pyramid Alehouse. Hoping Malibu will finally bring a real boat this year like Nautique & Mastercraft always do.
  22. 1st try posting a pic - beautiful 80 degree day (42w/38a) on Big Lake, WA with @cougfan and our Wed nite Bow Lake crew. Celebrating a successful Sunday ski! Mandatory after-ski antifreeze.
