  1. He got a 5@41 last year - Hoping to see the first Aussie to run a 41!
  2. @Wish - Oh yeah I did see something about the tail will allow you to change it from a 65 to a 66 - which then means you need to be able to have the fin block move with the increased length... I assume that is what they mean 63” includes VT, VS, VR, and VT+ Versatail blocks 65", 66”, 67”, and 68” includes VT, VS, VR, VRS, and VSR Versatail blocks
  3. @Mose - its the tail of the ski not the fin. Essentially there are 3 different option for a ski to customise the ski to suit their style best. You'd have to investigate what is what in more detail but at a high level the dquare tail (which I use) gives a little more lift to the ski - I'm a heavier skier and this helps me - on the other hand the round will ride deeper and may suit a smaller/lighter skier better.
  4. Has anyone skied on the new Connelly C1 yet? I saw the official release date is tomorrow.
  5. Watching with interest as my factory 2015 head unit can't talk to the Linc screen now - it never has since I bought it - It works from the head unit but not the linc screen controls unfortunately.
  6. blame the ski, the fin, the wakes, the driver, the weather.... lol... I've done all of that over the years - now I just take a break away from the course.
  7. I think it is hard to fathom how much harder 41 is compared to 39 until you watch a lot of skiing at those line lengths. I think in tournaments a lot of skiers will be happy with 3 as that might be the sweet spot between risk and reward. I think it was 2 probably last year? I think it all comes down to - is a skier willing to fall at 1 in order to go deeper at 41 - I'd say the top 10-15 pro skiers practice a safe way to reach 3 and also practice getting 6.
  8. I take my hat off to the 3 eventers - 3 times the work needed is amazing. Undoubtedly, I love to watch Slalom first and will watch the jump finals due to the "coolness" factor of watching someone go flying. I don't appreciate trick enough to enjoy watching it tbh. This won't happen, but watching a 3 event only section would be kind of interesting - as in all 3 eventers slalom, then they trick and then they all jump - would be exciting to see the scores and what each skier needed to win. Having them all mixed in with single eventers takes away from their accomplishment a bit as they are often not in the mix for a podium but could be leading for overall??
  9. Was it a 200 they were using? Freddy has seemed to come alive and putting pressure on Nate!
  10. A mate has the same problem - he's working on getting one machined out of aluminium from scratch - he was going to see if there was any interest out there as once he has it tested he will do a one time run of them and post them out.
  11. I'm helping a mate clean up his new to him 96 nautique. The water pump is leaking and I was wondering what water pump everyone is running on their GT40? Would like to replace with a new one. thanks
  12. When you're the girlfriend of @JoelHowley you get all the fun jobs on ski sites.... Congratulations mate - how many national titles is that now?
  13. The other thing I have seen work is to put the boat on the trailer and strap it on tight and then back the boat into the water and you should be able to see where the water is coming in...
  14. I drive for Joel Howley regularly. Its pretty cool to drive for such a talented skier especially at 41. He was very patient with me learning the skills to drive consistently well. And he is so in tune with his skiing that he can feel the driver good and bad and give really good feedback.
  15. Find centre and try to keep it there is lesson one.... nice and simple
  16. I watched a bit of it and wow there are some up and coming skiers to watch out for. I was pretty stocked for some of the Aussies making pb's and podiums.
  17. Yeah it’s not bad. Especially if your in Queensland! If your ever visiting reach out. Moomba coming up soon too and a great excuse for a trip. although we have very few man made lakes and access is a killer… not to mention docks and a boat lift are extremely rare here. But we make do
  18. One thing he does - he grunts like a pig before he skis... seems to work so I might try it
  19. Looks interesting - I'd love to drive it with the centre seating position. I've always thought that would help. Cool to see innovation!
