  1. karina has been here at Bridgewater in victoria, AUS this week. hopefully get a few sets in next week with her after WC.
  2. 50F is a cold winters day for us, with water maybe a little less.. most people still only ski 6 months of the year. I get very little enjoyment out of skiing when its that cold.
  3. @Horton, yes but I always made sure that the person buying it knew not to mess with it unless they knew exactly what they were doing and why.
  4. @Phil2360 I worked in a ski shop in victoria over summers for 7 years during school/college. HO and Radar skis come from the same place in melbourne. Last summer, every higher end ski that came into the store was partially setup, with the fin within 2-3/1000 most of the time. It was always pretty close anyway. Good enough for 99% of the customers buying one, but I would always set it exactly to stock. I would take that up with the store, that whatever they are doing is not helping themselves, and you the customer. Could even be dangerous with a crazy wild setting. The distributor often emails the stores when factory settings have been changed or at the start of each season. They SHOULD own a calliper.
  5. LPG worked fine with PP with a constant RPM. now with ZO, the response of the engine is not the same as on gasoline making the pull much different.
  6. seriously huge scores, great to see scores being pushed again by more than one or two after many years of it not moving from 1 at 43. 43 is the new 41 after this year. There are very few 'tournaments' any more. States, regionals, nationals, pro events.. everything else is just score events.
  7. if electric cars were charged on 100% coal generated electricity it would still be 'greener' than a toyota prius. I for one would rather power my boat and car with home generated solar electricity than relying on multinational corporations, sending money to the mid east and being taxed in the process. there will come a time in the not too distant future where its possible to drive twice the range of your gas car with a tank of gas and charging time taking less than it would be to pump your tank full of gas. the technology exists, just a matter of time. how much were early computers? http://img.ezinemark.com/imagemanager2/files/30002494/2010/10/2010-10-14-16-42-10-1-this-computer-has-10mb-of-hard-drive-at-the-price.jpeg
  8. does anyone go wing up? thought it was a given? it makes much more sense from my understanding to go upside down. Less pressure build-up between the wing and the tail of the ski? therefore stability.
  9. so it sounds like this could benefit those who train with PP classic as well as the big dudes? or at least worth a few sets to try?
  10. the question being, why do you think it can slow the ski?
  11. I think the biggest issue will be your physical health. Do you consider yourself fitter than most for your age? I think there is a much greater chance of injury, and any old injuries will be more likely to reappear. I would guess that you have to ski less because you are sore more of the time. I love skiing 34 occasionally. I am light at <145lb so I find it easier on the body and you have so much more time. I say bad idea. Why risk hurting yourself and possibly skiing less?
  12. or just get a browser that has one built in.. Better options than IE out there.
  13. @AB does'nt he ride a 67"? big ski too for his weight = lighter feel behind the wheel. There is a difference between being set early off the ball (which nate does VERY well) and taking LOAD early off the ball. Out of 2-4 Nate is super quick and probably holds better speed through the course than anyone. The handle moves to in-front of him as he hooks up, and because he counters so nicely he is already set. I think his real load zone is white wash to 1st wake. Its most obvious on his gate turn in. He rolls in a little then 'brings the heat'.
  14. could probably still fly 160...
  15. i was just looking at my 'stats'.. 419 visits since May 2007?! that is less than 7 per month. I would come here 7 times per week or more. that aint right.
  16. @ShaneH you got it. My understanding was that the boat was calling through ok times with dodd and asher going massive for 51k! One of the tech guys (dave clarke?) superimposed the boat going by in the jump camera footage to other jumpers in the same event. The boat was WAAAAY faster. I did have the clips of it somewhere.. I think this is one reason why PP required the second display for boat judge. Anyone remember what year that rule came in? Also contributed to the extra segment being added for jump.
  17. dr jim was IMO by far the biggest scandal. there was this back in 04? http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-2562842026447947136 possibly the hottest 51k passes ever.. i cant find the other 200+ (202?) jump. someone will know the story much better than I. Edit: found it on CRB http://www.creakyrowboat.com/2007_09_01_archive.html
  18. 9380 by erika. record was under 9k wasnt it?
