  1. baller world series... I might try and make it in 2013.
  2. Ive been playing golf at least once a week for the last 3 months or so over winter. I can go to the range and smash balls ok... Can I break 80? Nope.. Can you work on things free skiing and on the range? Absolutely. But both are only practice for the real thing.
  3. same hull, only walkthrough. 65k down here by the time you get ZO and the basics. http://www.boatsales.com.au/boats-for-sale/boatdetails.aspx?R=13139183&Silo=Stock&Vertical=Boat&Ridx=54&eapi=2
  4. often caused by strength imbalance in the vastus (quad) muscles in the thigh. Your PT will sort you out..
  5. I also tested a 66 A2... Still had nothing on the strada for me.
  6. I went from a 65" A1 to a 66" 12 strada this past southern summer. Best ski change ive ever made. Do it.
  7. the use of technology and motorised equipment reasoning for not allowing us into the games is wearing thin IMO.. Look at today's events already. Many of the road bikes are worth as much a carbon pro and have millions worth of research into them, and they have their own team cars... Have you seen the air rifle shooting event? They have more sights, guides, lasers, braces and crap than god knows what. If they were shooting ball bearings from muskets id say fine, but thats a joke!
  8. boron is the next step material that will replace carbon fibre. It has one less atom than carbon - therefore potentially lighter and is stronger than carbon as a polymer. Would basically be the most expensive ski ever made right now. Its properties and potential of what could be done with it, would make todays top carbon and RTM skis look like a pair of 1950s dick pope jr combos. Now how do we get eric to make one? anyone got some spare boron to give him? ;)
  9. there is a difference in anticipating and being proactive. I say being proactive as a negative thing - thinking you know what the skier will do and acting before you should or want to. Ive towed skiers through through 38 and 39 @ 36 and its a different league from most of my driving at 32mph up to -35. EVERY movement you make is critical and being 'in sinc' is a must to not hurt the skier. If you are not aware about where the skier is, when they are loaded with the boat etc etc then you will likely be doing a lot of things wrong.
  10. gives new meaning to 'getting in too deep' great shot!
  11. looks like a good way to waste gas and a slalom course.. ;)
  12. not enough fist pumping going out the gates...
  13. yep. all of the above. maybe except for the reading while driving.. that would set you back a few hundred dollars from the fuzz in this country.
  14. slalomers trying to sink and get rid of the jump ramp? the only cause rollers and get in the way those things...
  15. sell it to facebook for $1billion.
  16. To answer your questions @swervit A: No. For 99% of us we are not stacked and stable on our skis ALL the time. Bringing your centre of mass over the ski, for the most part is a good thing and if HEEL lifts allow you to do that, go for it. B: I dont personally see a need for it, ive got too much other stuff to worry about. If I was to do it, I would probably only do my rear foot. C: Heel lifts generally allow for accommodation of reduced ranges of motion in joints of your feet. Greater freedom and range of movement in your joints, I think, can be had by pivoting both your front and rear boots.
  17. @rwskier is this with a 5.7 or 6.0lt?
  18. Andy Mapple on a waiting list to ski.. thats funny! He has a new ski on the market and will want to get deep 41/into 43 to get the hype going. Anyone remember the video at Gordon's place when the elite dropped?
  19. @greekwaterski there were incorrect scores announced multiple times. The scoring judges did not have radio's (except the boat obviously), so several times they misunderstood things.
  20. Dave apparently sent out a set for them to be used. They seem to have been lost in transit. Moomba course guru's dave and 'pud' didnt think they would work overly well anyway. A LOT of debris floats down the river. The shape of a regular bouy means that most of it isnt an issue. Bubble buoys would catch stuff a lot easier and get affected by the current more. Things going in the yarra need to be durable.
  21. @Brent Are you talking about the aussie guy or the kiwi?
  22. i know your understanding of the event is not quite right. To suggest that billy was 'sacrificed' for the sake of nate... yeah right!
  23. This weekend is the Last Chance Qualifier for Moomba the following weekend. A few big names need scores to get in, so there will likely be some big scores.
