  1. Resurrecting an old thread from 2014.... Just curious if people's opinions have changed on if and when they think a new record will happen. Thoughts?
  2. @Horton I assume you're looking for "water effected" wind results in this poll? For example, I can ski in 20-25+ mph east/west wind and still a have relatively smooth water based on the terrain. If I ski in a north/south 10 mph wind it's going to be drastically worse. P.S.....your conditions look atrocious.
  3. There were a couple issues with the early version of the Syndicate hardshell, but HO and @savaiusini were awesome at taking care of the problem and putting the customer first. The current version is a great product. Thanks again!
  4. That makes my ribs hurt. Nice skiing Adam!
  5. Gonna need some deeper water for that foil....
  6. I feel like there are potentially a lot of variables that could give you a false experience of the octane theory aside from the placebo effect. It's probably still worth giving it the ol college try, but... In between octane changes did you: -Go to bed after too many bourbons -Eat ice cream as your dinner -Have a well balanced diet -Wake up happy -Wake up grumpy -Toss and turn throughout the night -Sleep 10 hours -Wake up with the 'old man' aches -Wake up with a great cup of coffee and a sunrise -Not get the morning dump in -Get an ear full from the spouse before walking out the door -Stub your toe on the dock -See an alligator swimming on the other side of the lake -Find out you don't have to pay taxes anymore  I guess you get the point....
  7. I guess the spectator controversy is black and white.....
  8. @Horton The brand name is the only similarity between the C-75 and C-85?? Wow...
  9. Once he writes his review, he knows he needs to move on to the next ski review. I'm guessing procrastination was intentional?.
  10. Kids can change your perspective on things! :)
  11. Getting ready to set up my medium C75 for the first time, and curious what numbers you guys have settled into. On a recent post, in the C-85 section, Horton described the fin on the C-75 as "very finicky." I had not heard the ski described like that by anybody up until his most recent post. Are you guys of the same opinion? Regardless, looking forward to getting out on the water with it.
  12. That's messed up. Should've been a new screen imho.
  13. Any bets on whether @scoke has a gambling problem :)
  14. The open boot sleeves are handy, but would be nice if they came with optional shoulder straps.
  15. So is your C85 actually a C95? B)
  16. I guess that explains why they didn't return my phone call.....
  17. @liquid d It would probably effect drag coefficient, weight, flex patterns,....and throw everything off :)
  18. @klindy Thanks for the input. Most of my course skiing is -22 to -35 off. @Horton I do a lot of free skiing with friends, so I'm sure my biggest issue, when I get into the course, is lack of timing at different line lengths. That is probably my biggest issue and why I'm inconsistent. @RGilmore your 1st point makes sense to me. Thanks for everybody's insight.
