  1. @adamhcaldwell curious if you've had anymore insight into binding setup or if you're running a similar setup to what you had in 2018? For those that have modified your hardshell setup, are you happy with the outcome? Thanks
  2. For those that have experienced a pre-release I would be curious if you thought it was operator error, improperly adjusted release, or equipment failure.
  3. I thought @Ed_Johnson tried both fins (CG and whisper) on his NRG R1. Maybe he can chime in.
  4. I would shy away from the VTR. Radar Lyric and Senate are great options. I would stick with the graphic series for the adjustable fin if she plans on advancing in performance.
  5. I'm curious how guys are skiing that have made the jump from a double boot to a releasable front an r-style or hybrid rear boot. I realize polls can't cover everybody's experience, so please feel free to comment with more details. I'm thinking of making the leap, and would like to hear everyone's experience. I know I haven't tapped into any of the safety advantages of switching, but wanted to focus the poll on the performance aspect of switching. For those that have improved from their average buoy count, I'd also love to hear how long it took to get there. Thanks
  6. @KRoundy, I thought the same thing. Seems like it must not be that quiet if they covered it up with music in their debut video.
  7. Wireless trail cameras will notify you of movement within seconds. Catching somebody in the act is probably the best way to actually prevent theft, but could also be a little dangerous. You get pictures or video sent to you instantly. Most cameras are either Verizon or AT&T providers. You can be notified by text message, email, and/or through the cameras app. Wireless cameras that are popular are Covert, Spypoint, Cuddeback, Spartan, and Snyper. There are different contacts available with each system.
  8. Are you wanting instant notification when motion is triggered? If so you'll most likely have to get a cellular trail camera or go with a Wi-Fi security system. If you're just wanting pictures or video to be taken, and plan on checking the cameras at a later date.....there are numerous good quality trail cameras out there. They store the information on an SD card. Lithium AA batteries will keep your cameras running for several months.
  9. I don't know of another slalom course visible from I-69 between Fort Wayne and Indy other than crashman's.
  10. This was the crowd for the number one female skier in the world....
  11. I would recommend going with a Senate. If you're going to a ski school, having an adjustable fin allows them to fine tune your ski along with your form. ***Actually, after I typed that I thought I remember the new Lyric Graphite having an adjustable fin*** Maybe somebody else can confirm? Great looking boat by the way!
  12. @mfjaegersr That was a close one!
  13. Looks like they're trying to keep up with Nautique.. ..
  14. Planet Nautique is the other site
  15. Anybody have a video of lean lock?
  16. Looks like an awesome time!! A great combination of activities Didn't see too many hack amateurs in the video though ?
  17. @gmut I'm on a 67" and my current settings are: 6.942 2.468 .756 Wing at 7 degrees. Bindings are 29 7/8"
  18. I'm surprised how little this ski is getting talked about on ballofspray. I've been on the R1 for about a month now, and absolutely love it! Prior to stepping onto the R1, I rode the EVO-S for a couple weeks. Although it is a nice ski, it was clear the R1 was a better fit for me. Don't get me wrong, there are some really good characteristics about the EVO-S, but the R1 took me to a special place. My initial concern was that the new 'exciting' phase of the R1 would wear off. So far, that hasn't been the case. This is one of the smoothest, predictable, turning skis I've ever been on. It has an aggressive, yet controlled, cross course feel . My offside is equal to, if not better than my onside right now. I was a fan of the previous NRG, but I was inconsistent on some of the turns. At times, the ski was unpredictable. I'm sure some of it was due to my inconsistent posture on the ski. Regardless, D3 has clearly done their homework on this new NRG R1. The good characteristics of the old NRG remain for me, but the predictable 'ARC'ing turns that D3 skis are known for are included in this new model. I know I have a lot to learn from this ski, and I'm only on the initial stage of this ride. Nonetheless, I'm looking forward to the rest of the season on this ski. If anybody else has been on the R1, I'd love to hear your thoughts.
