  1. I bought those for my dock and am very please with them.
  2. Can someone give a quick summary of the expected benefits of weight added to different places in the boat? This question is more generic than specifically pertaining to the SN 200.
  3. I see @razorskier1 had the same idea. Good responses there.
  4. What, if anything, do you do to your setup when the water temp changes significantly (15-20 degrees)? Thanks.
  5. This will be my second full season on Elite. Still progressing on it. Starting to run -35@34 w/some regularity now. I haven't tried any other skis since I started riding the Elite though.
  6. The ZO/PP thing doesn't even upset me anymore. My therapist and I are making great progress!!
  7. Jody is certainly a better resource than I, but if your risers are leaking inside the manifold I think you can get water into the cylinders through the exhaust ports. I'd at least try to fix that. Buy some gaskets from Jody and seal up the risers properly. My manifolds lasted several years with the exterior rust before they started to leak.
  8. Mine was like that from the previous owner. When i got the boat the packing was leaking profusely so I think that moisture in the bilge probably contributed to the rust on the manifold near the head. Also had signs of water on side of the manifolds as you mentioned. I replaced the gaskets on the risers since they clearly had leaked or were leaking as evidence by the water residue. As I understand a leak at the riser can allow water to drip down into the exhaust ports on the head. Had to clean up the surface of the top of the manifold and bottom of the riser with a file. That fixed the leak at the riser. I left the manifolds alone until i noticed one starting to leak, then ordered and replaced both. Main problem when replacing was corrosion on the bolts mounting the manifold to the head. Had to use an EZ out on a couple. That in itself might be a good reason to replace them now. Skidim has the replacements. Don't remember the cost, I think around $3-400.
  9. I bought one from skiboatcovers.com. I keep my boat one a lift and wanted to keep the sun off the hull under the rub rail so upgraded to the waterline fit. Nice cover, fits great. No complaints.

  11. @eyepeeler, you must be a "have", I am a "have not" (ZO that is). ZO emulation on PP for us older boat owners is a winner. ZO emulating PP?? Which setting is that again?
  12. What about the offside?? This is the only decent offside pull of Will I could find (quickly). A line through his hips and knees might be parallel, but I don't think the same is true for his shoulders. I don't think most people can get those three lines to be parallel on the offside. I know I can't. Wouldn't you want a body position you could achieve equally on both sides? I think that was Jody Fishers point as I recall.
  13. Get a lesson with a good coach. Best money you'll ever spend. Also, accept that some days you'll ski better than others. It's always amazed me that one day I can just feel so in sync and the very next day feel like nothing works. It happens.
  14. I'm LFF and working on 35, running it infrequently. The turn in with speed has helped my gates the most. With speed you can do a gradual turn in and get your angle set before the boat is all over you, then just hold position. Be sure you're up over the middle of the ski when you start your turn in with the nose of the ski engaged (as bmiller said), don't fall back to turn in. I'm still working on turning in with more speed. My mind doesn't like it, but my ski does.
  15. I emailed her what I wanted and included my phone number. She call me back to sort out specifics.
  16. Bought RainX but saw also that it wasn't recommended for plastic. I use Spex, anyone try RainX on those?
  17. Given you're trying to accommodate two different foot sizes and on a limited budget I'll second the Wiley recommendation. Good release characteristics, not expensive and parts are readily available. I was on Wileys, then moved to RS-1 bindings. I was very happy with the Wileys, just wanted to try something different.
  18. @richarddoane And I thought I was kidding!!
  19. When I first saw this thread I'm thinking Goode has a new product, PowerSuit.
  20. I got good bits from both Chet Raley and Seth Stisher this year. Both were tops.
  21. What 9400 said. The plate will help keep your feet together if the ski breaks between bindings. A guy I ski with had his ski break between the bindings. Fortunately the two halves stayed together. He was on Animals at the time (I think).
  22. Radar sequence plate is nice for that too.
  23. No, but a focused rant always makes me feel better about something like this. Sorry if I crossed a line by posting his email. I'll go back to lurking now.
