  1. I always demo my skis before I buy them. This past season spent over a month demo'ing the Helix, then went to Florida and demo'ed an A3. Good god that thing felt sluggish, seemed like I ran about the same # of buoys but it took so much more effort. As soon as I stepped back on the Helix and felt the freedom I knew it was the right stick for me (right now). D3 was a pleasure to deal with on their demo program.
  2. @swc5150 if you're looking for a TXI thats been cared for - look no further than @Moskier3ev‌ . Jeff and Tina take extremely good care of their boats. I've ski'd behind and driven every one of their boats since 2005 and would own any one of them. And yes usually boats that have not been titled have the full warranty allowance when titled as new.
  3. $60K for a 2 yr old 3 yr old 20ft slalom boat is S C A R Y

  5. Hey Ballers My buddy Tim is going to be in Florida this Friday thru Sunday. He's looking for a few sets near Sanford. Tim is a good guy and a good skier. Hit me up if you can help him out and I'll pass it along. Waterskier@gmail.com or 816-806-4987. Thanks Ballers!
  6. $750 per year, but we each have our own boat. If there had been a $2000 per year option with boat & gas included I would have jumped at it.
  7. Thread tape it and don't worry about it. My 90MC had a brass heater block tap in it for 6 years with no corrosion.
  8. Not getting the boat up to slalom speed before the 55s. Thats pretty much it.
  9. I'm 5'11" and 155lbs. I have tried several weights and found that a heavier me doesn't ski too well because I lose flexibility. One offseason I ate my weight in calories and got up to 175 and while I felt strong I was a mess come springtime behind the boat. I run more shortline 20lbs lighter.
  10. What are the "unwritten rules" of nationals? Are these anything like the "unwritten rules" of the Big Dawg that state if you're not riding a Goode ski you can't ask for a reride, ever?
  11. Winterized the boat, but its easy to put back into service! And I'm working in Orlando all winter so my skiing will not stop!
  12. Its really too bad you guys aren't better skiers, this review would be legit... :p (in all damn seriousness thanks for doing this! I'm working in Orl all winter and getting to Andy's to ride the new Mapple's is on my list, even though I just dropped major coin on a Helix this season)
  13. No, you need to switch to Tournament mode by hitting UP & DOWN keys at the same time. This will allow you to add/remove RPMs on the home screen. I do it frequently when there is more than a 5-10 mph head/tail. The other reason I use TM alot is my LXI is calibrated with the Bimini on because its up 75-80% of the time. So when its off (like on a cool day) I use TM and drop 10-15 rpms based on direction/wind. To get out of Tournament mode, just hit UP & DOWN arrows again to return to reg slalom mode.
  14. If its me (and it probably is), you could have just texted me. No need to post it on the forum @Horton‌
  15. @waterskigirl‌ now that is a killer combo!!!
  16. @Horton‌ did you really sell your beloved boat to a guy with an uncovered boat slip? Brutal!
