  1. I see 75% if HOs with that sticker right in the mouth of the Phoenix. I just removed my buddies sicker last weekend off of his A1 which he had had for 3 years or more.
  2. I agree with keeping the 9900, simply a great ski. But I would also suggest buying some calipers and carefully examining where your fin is. Make small adjustments to try and correct the problem. You will be amazing how big of a difference a couple thousandths does to a ski. Same with the bindings. Since is the beginning of the season, I would suggest going back to stock settings on everything and go from there.
  3. I just ordered the Oneill longsleeve spring suit from H2Osmosis. Can't wait to get out of the dry suit.
  4. I don't "like" the expense of tournaments, but its well worth it. Skiing with the same people every weekend is fun, but I need more. When it comes to tournaments I like the butterflys, excitement, frustration, joy and fun atmosphere. You just don't get these feelings from skiing at the lake on the weekend. I think this is what separates us from the folks who hit the lake, drink beer, and pull themselves around on a tube. We need more. Tournaments are what give us this. As far as nationals, its more for the experience than the placement for most of us. But for those of us that live and breath this stuff, its like being a kid in a candy store.
  5. #2 on Santan - Love that place I also really liked Sunset Lake in Galt, CA. The Trembles keep that site looking amazing and it skis great.
  6. Mark, a bunch of us are headed to Swiss on May 19th! This will be our third year. My only advice is to not party too much and don't get too sore.
  7. Swiss Ski School in Forida sell their 200s when they get 500 hours and they go for the mid 30s. That is where I got my boat. $2,500 to ship it Oregon.
  8. I saw that graph posted on the front page of the "correction to the awsa rule book" posted by Richelle Mattli. Is this in effect, or proposed or what? Thanks
  9. WBLskier, can we agree that its not your wife with the concerns? I understand, we are all friends on here. I, I mean my wife, had the same concerns before we went to Florida for skiing for the first time. We did actually see gator, but they were all real small and stayed far away from us. In fact the state wildlife whatever came and trapped it anyway. I wasn't scared at all, my wife might of been, but not me.
  10. You first need to find your evaporation rates in your area which should be availabe online for farming purposes. Where I am at in Oregon the rate maxes at .33 of an inch a day in the summertime. Next you need to be a math wiz to figure out an average evaporation x acres (80) x days (365)
  11. Wife and I go to Cancun every year and have a blast. We love that place. The beach and the ocean are amazing and half the cost of Hawaii. We've often thought about skiing there. May have to check that out.
  12. +1 For AB 10 foot deep would be awesome, just spendy. We went with 6', but the lake is never "full", making it 5ish. Then all the sediment that accumulates over time has made it in the 4-5' range. So I would go at least 8' deep. Our shores were 12:1, but weeds caused a shelf at the waterline in some areas, making it brutal. Find a way to maintain the slope with some type of rock, sand, that will protect it from getting deteriorated.
  13. I have a Reflex front boot on my Goode mid and like it a lot more than the powershells. I ordered just the Reflex boot, removed the rear block (used to snap it in). I then drilled the same holes from the power shell and used the same hardware. I was kind of a pain, but it worked. And I use a strip of 400 on each side of the plate, and 250 everywhere else.
  14. That place skis really good too, great site!
  15. Really cool, looks for real
  16. igkya, I've skied in Minden Nevada. Sierra Springs and Ski Oasis. Are those sights still up and running?
  17. What!!???? That guy is a stud! Great pics, need to go on the front page, crazy.
  18. This stuff is great, I love analyzing great skier's form. Thanks for posting.

  22. I certainly agree with doing it for a year to collect data and further evaluate this, I can see no harm in that at all. As far as being required to stay in MM, it is the right thing to do, even tho it would negatively effect me. I am at the very bottom of MM so it would be very difficult for me to win a Regional or National event. But I have always been frustrated with the great MM skiers that go down to their age division just get a win.
