  1. @escmanaze, its time for all 5 new seals on a 10 year old suit, maybe 10+ years and there is a lot of normal wear on the material. $200 for all new seals on an old suit or add another $200 and get a new suit. New suit for me.
  2. Never really thought about it, but I guess I should. 90% of the time I ski on the same lake and between 2 boats and the same 3 people and somehow ended up liking the same handle and rope. Time for a spare handle to go on my wish list for Christmas.
  3. Never over till the water is frozen.
  4. I just replaced by 10 year old Bare with a new Eagle. Haven't had a chance to use it yet but the fit and ease of getting in and out it is better then the Bare.
  5. Lot of time off the water this year, but I was able to get 4@32 twice.
  6. @davemac so what I'm hearing is that your voice could get a little higher when getting your head into the suit, (take is that is from it being a front zipper). Other then that how do you like the suit? My last suit was a Bare and before that a Stay Dry.
  7. Just did my own little unboxing of my own and found a new Eagle Drysuit. To early to use but a great birthday gift from my wife. :) Question on the fit. (I've had 3 other baggy suits that have all been mediums.) Is there any trick to putting a front zip on compared to a back zip suit. Things seem to get a little tight in the crotch when putting my head into the suit to get it through the neck seal. Is this normal? Once on, it seems to fit fine, not quite as baggy as the others. I would think that's better, less material to flap around after burping it. Looking at the size chart going to a large the chest and waist look like it would be way to big. 5'9" 140lbs 30" waist 37" chest 31" inseam
  8. @mino - I think of it as wally repellent and been looking a new dry suits.
  9. Dale Hollow is nice, rented boats out of Sunset and Wisdom. Michigan Inland waterway is nice, 4 lakes, 3 rivers, 2 docks and you can make it out to Lake Huron.
  10. @AB Was thinking of you Monday as we where driving to the Cleveland Clinic, just needed to turn right instead of left at I-80.
  11. You don't hear it too often, but I do need to put on about 20-25lbs, but needs to go on slow. 5'9"
  12. Finely had I chance to add a little length to the fin a bit (.020) and get back out on the course. Ran a nice 22, then a ugly 28 and then twice getting to 4 ball at 28., each time not as ugly. Hope it wasn't just a fluke, I could get used to this.
  13. One hole forward on the middle holes and best that I can measure with out taking the rear boot off in aprox. 29 5/8", give or take an 1/8". I'll try a little length and see what happens the next time out. Thanks.
  14. @SkiJay Progress is slow, thanks for asking. Fin is set at 6.858 = 2.495 = .765 flat = wing at 7 1/2 = RS1's on sequence plate 1 hole forward. If a could figure out the gates at 28, I could run 28 about 80%. Now its 3-5 balls. I feel like a have to work a lot harder to get any acceleration and then make the edge change. Could just be me being on the weak side, but both my X5 and X7 always seamed like they would almost ski themselves.
  15. Sense the season began I've lost about 20-25 pounds do to illness (160 to 140), I'm on a D3 - X7 - 66", last couple of times out the felt big and heavy. What type of fin or binding adj. do you think would help until a can get a little more weight put on.
  16. Just got back home from the site. Just great skiing from everyone, all 16 went past 38off in first round and all 8 in the second.
  17. Either boat will be fine, wake is better at slow speeds with the TXI, (28-30). I running 22-28 off and to be honest the wakes between different year LXI's and TXI's I've been behind all seem a little different. Not better or worse just a little different, nothing that I thought would improve my skiing. Most boat for the money is the way to go.
  18. @XR6Hurricane and all others, any advice, ideas and encouragement is greatly appreciated and I would never find them condescending. Trying something new is way better then a trip to ER.
  19. So last Sunday I end up going to the ER for some major pain management. Tue. back to work. Wed. ski buddy show up with both a new Quest and Fusion to demo and he know that I'm off Fri and wants me out there. End up skiing a set on both skis and then again on Sat., (new demo ski, I just had to). I feel good but sore doesn't real describe it. Question is why did the Quest fell like I was riding a big piece lumber and the Fusion felt like my own ski. Sat. the Quest felt better and the Fusion the same. Most passes where at 34 and 22off and making 6 on the last couple. I'm ridding a 66" X7 145lbs and the demo's where 67". Buddy's on a Z7ST 66" 175lbs and felt the same about the Quest and liked the Fusion better then his Z7.
  20. @DrDan If I may ask, at what rope length does the tower come into play? Nice boat.
  21. ossur.com/?PageID=13557 12 seasons with this on my front knee. Have your Dr. write a prescription and get one that custom fit to your leg. Got used to it quick. I think of my brace as a part of my gear, like my life vest or bindings. Safety, fit and comfort.
  22. Have had a CTI brace on my front knee for over 10 years, no MCL or ACL. At first it was for stability, now it helps with the pain from hitting the wake.
  23. OCD Boat is always detailed and waxed, looks as good or better then when it was picked up at the dealer. Wipe it down after every use and detail it on Sunday mornings, (no wake till 11AM on Sundays), my quite time. But I hope there is bacon when I get back to the house, hummmmmmmmmmmmm bacon!
  24. Decided to go down this morning and drive. Felt like I made my first pass easy, shortened the rope then had one of those yard sale falls at the gates.
  25. @eyepeeler What would be the right doctor?
