  1. Well I ended up skiing today for the first time since my accident, (11 weeks). Took about 15 minutes to get all the gear on. Getting that right glove on very interesting and a little painful. Masterline Pro-locks did help with the grip. I did take the new pink strada with me and ended up getting around 3 ball at 30 and 15 off. Ski felt very nice at the lower speed and longer rope, hopefully I can get back to 34 and 22-28 off by the end of the season. @ Chris Rossi thanks for the fin settings.
  2. Just opened a box of 2012 strada that I picked up over last winter and both had the factory insoles inside the liners. The two pair of RS-1's that I had before, put super feet insoles inside the liners without any problems.
  3. Latest visit to the surgeon was good. Wound is 95% healed and can be submerged in the lake behind a boat with a ski on in a couple of days. Been looking to this, but didn't think it would happen this year. Feeling nervous.
  4. Therapist did a lot of measuring today. Thought things were going great, about 90% close to wrapping all three fingers and thumb around a handle and what I thought was tight. Boy was I wrong, left hand measured 105 ftlb and the right was a whopping 7.
  5. Good luck, think positively and heal fast. Same to you @bojans‌.
  6. Well went out and pick one up.
  7. Healing up nicely looks like you should be skiing again in a couple of weeks. :)
  8. just got back from both the surgeon and the infectious disease doctor. All of the stitches are out and most of the scabs have come off, last iv injection and the PICC line are to be pulled today. Hand can start to get a little wet and soon heat and ice. Now need to work on the rest of the arm along with the fingers.
  9. Out on the lake this morning with the neighbor and drove the boat, (free ski, no course up this week), felt great but a little scary driving.
  10. @Wish 34.2 Was working on getting more constant 28's, have gotten as far as 3-4 balls at 32 after running a 28. I could be awesome ;)
  11. I see that couple of ski companies like Radar and D3 make their high end ski with a softer flex for women. Being 5'9" and 145 and turning 58 next month and the good possibility that my injury slowed me down some would these skis be something to look into, kind of like senior shafts for your golf clubs?
  12. Went to the surgen today, all but 2 of the stiches where removed and no more major bandaging. IV should come out next week. Now it's major rehab time for the hand and mind.
  13. @gregy Doctor said that once the wound is headed and all of the scabs are gone the hands good to go in the water, about 3 weeks. Then it's just a matter of getting the fingers to grip a handle. At the moment the thumb and first finger are about 70% there, middle is about 59% and the ring has a long way to go. Pinky has been left alone after the last surgery. Therapist is making some sort of brace to work the finger today.
  14. New gloves arrived starting to get to get ready, just need to get the fingers to work on their own.
  15. To enjoy all that life offers

  17. Trying to post the pics but no luck yet
  18. 30 years ago today a married my best friend and yesterday we went back to where we had our service and took a couple of pictures and decided to try for another 30.
  19. Just got home from seeing the surgeon. Things are starting to look good. If all go well with the infection and PT I have been given the go ahead to ski in September on my 58th birthday. Things just seemed to slow down and become a little quieter suddenly. Thank you all for your kind thoughts and prayers, without them I wouldn't be this far along.
  20. That's what I'm talking about, but with the machined parts like a tower rack.
  21. @gregy‌ Forgot all about seeing what they using to flush the finger and then the lights went out. Did find out that one tendon could not be reattach because of the infection, but it shouldn't cause any problems other then not being as strong as it would have been. How is your recovery going, good I hope.
  22. Surgeon removed all the bandages this afternoon, he's very happy. To me it still looks so bad that I can't look more then a couple of seconds. If all goes well with setting up meds. for home care I should be able to go home tomorrow. Still have a long way to go with rehab, fingers are still locked up good.
  23. Been trying to figure that option out for the last 8 year for our RLXI, was going to mount a ski rack, from a tower, and mount some sort a release behind where the Malibu oval badge is on the gunnel. Have never found a ski rack that I like.
  24. O'Neill Revenge comp. Floats well, large arm opening and some back support.
  25. Well it looks like surgery went well, all flushed out and closed up.
