  1. Had a great time at Travers and Wilson brothers. Back to reality, snow and work. Thanks to all for your suggestions on site seeing. Space Center and the chain of lakes and Disney's Boardwalk where all fun.
  2. Got sets in Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday in FL and at the Tampa airport waiting to head to the winter wounder land of MI.
  3. Very glad to be leaving the snow behind, (just finished digging out) and getting ready to head down. We will be at Travers's with friends for a few days, then its off to Space Center, The Boarding School, Disney and back to Travers's. Hopefully we will get a change to meet a few of you.
  4. @DmaxJC_ski‌ I would say anywhere in the Orlando area, looks like there all within a 30 mile radius on the map.
  5. Pick-up point depends on the flight and skiing schedules and logistics . Their has been a time when I got a call from a fellow Baller about coming over for a set as I driving away from the airport in the morning. @Wish I have one, buts is black.
  6. Not sure if having a FedEx account helps with the price. 3 day ground one way is $44 with no declared value and $63 with $2K valve. Don't have to deal with TSA, baggage claim, hauling trough the airport and shuttles. Having it shipped to a school this time, other times I've just had it sent to a FedEx office close to where I was staying.
  7. All packed and waiting. For FedEx.
  8. Starting to get all the gear together.
  9. @wtskior I like the hockey game idea and never thought about going to ski shops, unfortunately I was asked why do I want to go to a hockey game when we're in Florida, we live in Hockey Town. Pro shop just got a look, but I was also playing with the boat builder for the Malibu LXR at the time too.
  10. Looks like we're at Jack Travers a couple of days. Wife say Space Center is on our list. Now possibly something closer to Tampa.
  11. The wife and I are planning a trip to Florida in Feb. and as strange as it may sound, what kind of things are there to do in the Orlando area that isn't waterskiing, (have that covered). Last time that I was there was about 40+years ago when Disney World first opened. Not really looking at amusement/theme park, but not counting them out. Just something nice for the wife and I do when not skiing. Thanks Larry
  12. @brooks Planning to trip to FLA next month and hope to get to the Boarding School for a day.
  13. Very nice BOS hoodie showed up today, with temps in the single digits this week it will come in handy.
  14. Turned out to be a pink Christmas :D Happy Holidays to all
  15. My wife doesn't mind. She would just rather have someone else do it, especially if in the course, but we're working on it.
  16. Did our annual Polar Bear ski, water 36 and air 38.
  17. @MISkier‌ Skier Pier. started going in 1997 and have a 10 year a know. Never made up to Silver Spray, doing 2 freezing runs in one day is just a little to crazy for me.
  18. Time to start getting my gear together, work and ski. Looks like Monday I go back to work, part time till next year. Everyone wants me to ease back slowly, which is just fine with me. Maybe start moving towards retirement mode early. Saturday is our local Polar Bear ski, hopefully the weather stays nice.
  19. @Wish‌ That review may take a while. Carole is definitely a warm water skier, maybe the end of May unless I get her to go on a ski vacation.
  20. Just unboxed another one. Christmas present for my wife. This will actually be her first ski, she would always use one of my old skis.
  21. @mwetskier‌ You have know idea how careful I've been around the house and boat. With this being my first accident at work that required any time off and being caused by a perfect chain of events that the are a million to one. All of my other injuries have come from some sort of sporting activities. I'm scared as help to go back and stepping into the building that it happened in isn't going to happen for a long time. Hopefully Polar Bear will be fun event.
  22. Surgeon says everything is looking fine and don't need to see him for three months. Now starts the process of going back to work after being off for 6 months. Next week looks to be interesting with the possibility of starting work, (part time) and the Polar Bear Ski on Sat.
  23. After 5 months of going to PT 3 times a week it was graduation day. Diploma was a t-shirt. See the surgeon tomorrow and see about going back to work.
